I wasn't expecting this quality of fine dining in a town the size of Staunton. Locally sourced menu, thoughtful preparation. Can't go wrong here.
The place gets its name from the ancient word for "Shenandoah," and that's appropriate for a restaurant that celebrates products grown in the nearby Valley, as well as the Piedmont.
We visited for brunch and I had the cornbread French Toast . It was very good. It balances that sweet and savory balance.
Food is amazing, staff is friendly and Chef came out to tell us how he prepares his to-die-for zucchini cakes . What more cld u want? Other than the pork , the chkn, the foie gras , the chocolates ...

Good food. A little high-end for our style, but good.
Bartender is awesome, knows his food and wines , chocolate torte and port awesome finish for your dinner :)
So overrated it's beyond belief. The dessert and the service was great. But they pushed the ribeye that night and I made the mistake of buying in. It was incredibly mediocre.
The Autumn Olive Pork Chop is to die for!
