One of the oldest bookshops in London . A must visit! Go to the upper floors and explore the many titles on display. You can ask for recommendations from the friendly staff too.

An excellent bookstore . It has to compete with the slightly larger Waterstones down the road , but this bookshop certainly holds its own with its history and royal connections.

Opening in 1797, this is the oldest book shop in Britain and once stocked the country house libraries of Britain’s aristocrats. Byron, Wellington, Disraeli and Wilde were all regular customers.
