Delicious Indian cuisine and fantastic service. We pointed out that they had under charged us and they thanked us for our honesty with complimentary cocktails . Excellent all round.
A library that turned into a Resturant, Indian cousin with a twist "اكله مستنكر????" ask for their popular dishes for main course, try their vegetable cake and grilled salmon for starters????????
9/10 Not a cheap place, but probably the best Indian place I've been to in London. The butter chicken was great. Also, the venue is amazing, remembering an elegant library . Wear casual .
What's not good? Excellent food, service, drinks, presentation, colour, smell, taste, price, surroundings, ambiance & experience. Coffee was great too!
Delicious modern Indian food , perfect for a special occasion . Salmon carpaccio with crab , prawns & spiced carrot cake were all outstanding. Start with a peach bellini . Mmmmm
Fine Indian cuisine in an old library building from the 1890s. Elegant, precise and full of flavor. Lamb and red deer were the crowd favorites.
Excellent wine list . However, the food is so spicy that the great wines are no match, should have taken beer . Nice drinks bar downstairs. Excellent lamb and chicken .
Had the cod for entree and lamb tandoori for 2. Not too spicy and portions are not as small as mentioned. Very good:)
Soaring ceilings and vintage wood panelling create a mood of club-like serenity while head chef Vivek Singh cleverly melds Indian spices and flavours with fine-tuned European techniques. Read more
The food is amazing, the cocktails are fabulous and Indian themed, vegan and veggie options very good. Come here as much as I can.
Loved the ambiance of the restaurant within the library . Chutneys and dips were the best. Vegetable cake starter too good. Main course disappointed us.
Great room (old Westminster library ). Modern take on Indian cuisine . Good service and perfect for lunches . The best of the family.
Be sure to try tandoori breast of Anjou squab pigeon with chickpeas and tamarind ; and roast saddle of Cumbrian wild red deer with corn and millet kedgeree . Read more
This time I had paneer as main, simply beautiful, note to myself for next time, I will try lamb and medium steak .
Delicious Indian food in an upscale setting . Loved being surrounded by the books !
Fantastic modern Indian fusion . Beautiful balance of heat and spices. Chicken livers are amazing. Don't knock them till you try them.
Food and wine delicious. Pigeon AMAZING as was the mango dessert . Love it!!!
I rather like it, but it’s not for everyone. Lovely old world atmosphere-so beautiful decor. Fancy , expensive , delicious.
Indian restaurant set within a library , yes that is correct. The food is lovely, with a twist to the traditional currys . that you know but it wont disappoint.

Great food, the starters and mains were wonderful! Desserts , a bit disappointing, but they usually are at Indian restaurants .
Fancy vibes and modern Indian fusion ? Yes, please! Try the slow cooked lamb fillet and coconut kale curry .
Great Indian food in a great atmosphere (an old library ). Can be a bit noisy but worth the experience.
A small fillet of plaice with Bengali spices; an Anjou pigeon breast cooked in the tandoori oven; grilled scallops with squid and cauliflower ; we both left the table ready for an afternoon’s work. Read more
One of the best Indian restaurant in London. Very nice venue with a lounge bar in the basement .
Lovely setting great food and service opt for the sharing plates the lamb was sublime
Great food, wine , atmosphere. If you need to get somewhere after, ask the concierge about their private taxis . Luxury cars, good prices.
Great and massive wine list . High quality food, nice atmosphere and staff always helpful, try the tandoori chicken !
I'm not sure how it's Indian, exactly, but the warm chocolate soufflé is amazing. You may need to be alone with it.
Ambience is great. It is a reconverted library .
Best Indian food in London, IMHO, after about 3 or 4 year’s’ experience.
Fantastic modern Indian, great service in a gorgeous setting. Get usual portion sizes out of your head though, these are pretty small
My second favourite Indian. Being in Westminster, I sometimes look underdressed when the MPs are lunching but it is not snobby place so never feel out of place.Tip: 22 quid for 3 course set lunch ! WOW Read more
Upscale indien restaurant . Fine food and delicate tastes. Classic british deco
As of today (2010-03-11) the infamous Rajastani Sangri Beans were off the menu , but when we asked our waiter for them, the chef could provide. Ask for them; they're unique (for london) and brilliant!
Try the Kedgeree with Smoked Haddock and Poached Egg - Lovely kedgeree here and strong Assam tea -,perfect morning breakfast
Nice place, books all around. Menu is creative, but portions could be bigger.
Fab place and v good food! Portions bigger than in Veeraswamy, another favourite of mine:)
The loin of red deer, accompanied by a spicy tandoori sauce, was outstanding
Expensive but deservedly so. Think colonial Indian food from the British point of view .
Get the tasting menu with premium wine . Worth every ££
Unrushed experience in lovely surroundings and contemporary indian cuisine
Love the food, however, very corporate ambiance.
Seriously good Asian food , lunchtimes are great if you dont mind sitting amonst MPs and journalists! Try the taster menu....
Roast Cumbrian wild red deer saddle with corn and millet kedgeree is an interesting, though expensive , way to fill you up. Read more
The food is great, if a little average. For an Indian restaurant they have poor vegetarian options . Nice ambience.
Spacious and cozy place ..good food
The original and the best. Fine delicate food
Really great taste with perfect service, recommend.
Starters are nice.
They have over 50 types of whisky, 20 types of beer, and a massive wine list. We loved the Raspberry Martini and their Qojito was so good, you'll want more than one. - BarChick
best homemade indian food you will ever find!!, recommend goat curry and carrot halwa, honestly can’t go wrong with anything i love asma khan - Nidhi Kay
