Greenwich Foot Tunnel

Ignore the great body of the Thames hurtling over your head and enjoy a ten minute walk from one bank to another. Entrances at Island Gardens DLR station and Greenwich pier .

Scary and deserted at night, it's madness at rush hour. Bikes are f**g annoying!!

Island Garden Cafe on the north entrance is worth a visit. Jamaican food , sandwiches and a good cup of tea .

This 370 metre long tunnel under the river opened in 1902, to ease congestion on the ferries that carried workers from south London to the bustling docks on the Isle of Dogs.

Every time I walk down here I always let myself lose in daydreaming. What if the walls were to break instantly? What are my chances to survive the flood? Pretty haunting if you ask me.

An old tunnel going under the Thames . Don't trust the no cycling signs. Everyone is cycling!

О! Получила удовольствие шагая по тоннелю и слушая музыку , а так де размышляя на тему того, как легко перейти реки-моря-океаны, оказывается, можно под землей.

5 минут и в другой стороне реки . Достаточно чисто в тоннеле , но лифты ужасно грязные.

Лифты для спуска в тоннель не всегда работают.
