Room was in disappointing state of repair and outdated. I certainly would recommend the AC hotel in l’Illa Diagonal which has extremely friendly staff and cosy, well maintained rooms.

Paper thin walls - can hear every noise in the corridor. Woken up at 7-8am each morning by doors slamming and cleaners banging around. Breakfast extortionate. The "gym " is a joke - just two machines.
The bathroom seems broken. There is no easy way to hang a simple tower up or place shampoo or soap! A "modern" looking room doesn't work if simple things are hard to get done!
Very good hotel and super close to the subway station . Several good restaurants nearby reachable on foot.
Feels like a Marriott cruise ship, by way of Ikea. I get the style, but rooms are very compact, with thin walls and peeling laminate. Solo travelers only, who NEED close rail access.
Rooms are fully refurbished, location is great to move around the city , airport … Best cost benefit ever.

The x16 rooms are larger but shaped like pie slices and with a column close to the window

Amazing and unique. All European churches are not the same, this is the exception. Buy tickets online or book a skip-the-line tour. You need a guide or audio tour to truly understand the symbolism. - Robert Paluszak
