McMenamins Hal's Café

The Lamb Poutine was fabulous! Sweet potato fries with lamb in a brown gravy sauce with cheese curds . Amazing! Best surprise of my trip!

Small nice place. Not too loud . Good selection of spirits . Reasonably priced. Solid selection of food. Parking was a pain, but that takes a side note. Clean place. Thumbs up.

I recommend the cider : Trippy and Hard ½ and ½ , Bloody Mary is good too.

I had a Red Rhino beer which was very good. The atmosphere is great and the bartender , James, was a rock star.

The burger is delicious! But if you're on a healthy fix try the farro risotto or the zucchini pasta . Also the schezuan green beans rock!

Hal Finkelstein opened Zeus Cafe in 2011, and it was renamed Hal’s Cafe in his honour after he passed in 2022.

Biscuits and Chorizo gravy were stellar! Can't wait to come back. :)
