The best old fashioned I had in Europe is in this amazing bar . Michelin recommended. Their drinks menu is a book with an index page in the beginning. I highly recommend Widder Bar.

Delightful nook of a bar , with the largest whiskey library in Zurich and lots of creative cocktails . The food is very good too - splitting three "bar snacks " between two people is enough for dinner .
Nice ambience, kinda of a louder speakeasy vibe, very good piano player . Large liquor wall. A few beers on tap & occasionally a rare beer in the cooler (ask). Complimentary trail mix and nuts .
Over 1000 bottles behind bar including 700 whiskey ! Live music , friendly staff don't hesitate to the Bar Manager Dirk Hany, who has been known to concoct vodka cocktails with mustard and cucumber .

Absolutely attentive service . When you finished picking the raisins from the dried fruits and nuts offered gratuitously, there'll be a waiter happily exchanging your's for a freshly filled small bowl.
