Love this beautiful old cinema and its eclectic line-up of international films . Slightly outdone by baby sister Dukes@Komedia for location and facilities, but still a pleasure every time.

A fab venue run by passionate cinephiles, which sadly could do with a refurbished sound system . Loads of rattle and hum bass to pair with your crackle and pop celluloid. ANALOGUE POWER! ✊????

It is a lovely place for a movie ...love the fact that it has an old fashion atmosphere!

The Kid’s Club Saturday matinee usually sells out. Book online to save a seat (and queuing!)

Balcony seats are better for the taller person! If you're 5'8 or below, you may find yourself sitting forward on the sofa (rather than slumping comfortably) so you can see the bottom of the screen!

One of the oldest movie theaters in England, real oldschool! They also do drinks and snacks and play classical music while waiting for the projection.

Classic indie picture house with a great pair of legs (nicked from Oxford). Regular specials like live opera, noisy children welcome showings and late night cult classics . Good posh snacks and a bar .

Comfy seats , decent beer and wine , and tasty 'homemade ' cakes ; oh and they have films too ;-)

Possibly my favourite place in Brighton. Well worth becoming a member as you can save loads, plus you get some great free preview screenings.

Always love this place. Especially the sofas on the balcony . My tip is go on Mondays cos everything's cheaper.

Kids club on Saturday morning. Adults with child go free, and you get to enjoy the glamour of a proper old fashioned cinema , full of lively youngsters.

Also shows 'It's a Wonderful Life' each Christmas . Just a lovely cinema , properly eccentric - long may it reign.

Consider membership. It's well worth the fee. You get three tickets included and discounts off all future purchases.

Althrough rows are numbered in alphabetical order, 12A is not place. it is category 12+ :)

You can dribble your tipple inside while you watch the film and also a good venue for gigs.

Get membership and sit on the balcony sofas . With chocolate and almond cake .
