If you're in an indie mood make your way to the Angelika. The atmosphere is great and they always show the films no one else does. You can make some good discoveries here.

Every Tuesday is Student Tuesday ! Show your school I.D. at the box office all day and pay only $8 for a screening. You also get free popcorn when you show your ticket stub at the concession stand!

They have Intelligentsia Coffee at the coffee bar . Delicious. Fantastic Indie films , too.

Theres really only one thing a movie theater can do to make me really happy: Serve beer . Check! Whats next? Show indie films and b-rated horror movies . Check! Then, you know, have nice screens. Check!

Love this theater! Great deals on different days of the week. And it has the best popcorn I promise! Also most USA film festival events are held here which are awesome!

The Angelika Dallas is one of the only non-multiplex cinemas in town and offers residents the chance to see some of the best and most current art-house and indie films .

It could 100+ degrees outside, but inside it is like a Subzero Freezer... bring a jacket and wear long pants!

A nice place to find films that have a more limited release. A gateway theatre for serious indie film if you are exploring.

Excellent theatre for lesser known films with good sound and screen

Apparently butter salt here is just called popcorn salt. Ask for an extra cup and fill it up to dip the bland popcorn in. Also, don't wear 7 inch heels to a premiere

Sit on the first row, it's easy to leave for snacks/restroom by dipping under the rail!

The Mockingbird Station parking garage has criminally narrow spaces, and it smells like a porta-potty.

Wine is expensive for the small amount but at least they offer it!!
