Just had a sandwich here for the first time. Damn good. The ingredients--especially the bread--are very fresh. And it comes with a side salad for $6-$6.75 (depending on the sandwich ) which is amazing.

Choco chip scone is good. Mocha glacier has a bit of weird, powdery aftertaste, disappointingly. More than anything, the interior is great (esp at summertime, when not congested with college students )

A classic Berkeley cafe for meeting up with friends. When I was in school I think I people watched and socialized more than I studied here. Good times. :-)

If you are not into strong coffee , I recommend the Caramella on a cold day and the Mocha Glacier on a hot day. Mmmhmmm. Also a great place to study! Grab a seat upstairs !

Standard-fare coffee near campus. Gets crowded , very warm upstairs , noisy . Would not recommend for meetings (but students will do it anyway).

They don't mix the chocolate syrup in the mochas . That's a weird thing to do (or not do, as it were).

Get the Hot Chicken Sandwich and find a seat upstairs overlooking the entrance.

If you like strong coffee , I recommend ordering a regular with a shot of espresso .

Get coffee in to-go cup. They use pint glasses w/o handles that get too hot.

Food is okay coffee is pretty good. But wifi is the worst.

Honestly, the food is good but the coffee is bitter everytime.

Don't order soup after 7pm. But, cap hasn't changed since '87.
