Vegetarian bee-hoon. I enjoyed the aromatic mushroom-based sauce that Ginga Vegetarian 02-104 splashes over the breakfast offering
Lor Mee . Generous ingredients from Feng Zhen 03-146. Shredded fish meat, meat balls , sliced fish cake , braised pork & egg , bean sprouts . Oh, did I mention a fragrant base sauce? Burp!
Roasted meats . Tien Lai #02-66 is a popular stall. Meats are above average, sauce tasty, chilli dip outstanding. Expect long queues on weekends. This plate of char siew + sio bak $3.50????????
Must try the 27 Delicacies (#03-126). Their Curry Chicken is very unique, the best I eat so far. Dont forget their Sesame Chicken and Braised Pork Rice . Best of the Town ...
Min jiang kueh (peanut pancake , 90¢) Pancake 麵煎粿 #02-76 makes soft pancake (instead of chewy or crispy ); stall owners say it appeals to their regulars, the elderly. Generous with sweet peanut filling
Besides escalators in the middle of the building, there's also staircase access to level 2 (food centre) from the southern end of the building
Must try 3 floor western food from Toms Kitchen, they have spaghetti , baked rice and chop... must try the chicken chop , u can choose to change the french fries to mashed potato or even cheese fries
Historic site . This used to be Yung Sheng Food Centre, the 1st food centre built in 1972 to re-settle road-side hawkers. According to the sign on level 1, centre was popularly known as 六十档 “60 stalls”
Covered access to bus-stop along Corporation Drv. Look for this stall towards the back & northern side of the market floor. There’s a sheltered walkway to the bus stop
Elevators/lifts are located at the eastern side of the building. Frequently used to access levels 1 (mkt), 2-3 (food & drinks), 4-5 (carpark)
There are lifts serving all floors. Easy to find at the parking floors. Quite hidden at the ground floor; look for signs
Staircase access from carpark. At the end nearer to Yung Sheng Rd, find the stairwell from the carpark bringing you to level 3 of the hawker centre
Bak chor mee (minced meat noodles ). I found BCM from 五十八 58 Minced Meat Noodles #03-150 above average (soup 's flavourful) but wouldn't queue 20mins for it (I would for Tai Hwa @ Crawford Lane!)
While levels 2 & 3 are all foodstalls, level 1 is the wet & dry markets , selling fresh meats & veges , as well as dried sundries
Wash basins & water cooler closer to #02-95 & #03-156. Hard to find? Follow signs to the toilets at each floor ????
Old school cold drinks. Zero in on Soon Lee #02-93 for quick-serve, thirst-quenching drinks like pineapple , longan & lime . $1 for this cup
feng zhen lor me and the fish noodle stall right beside it are both super famous and super good!! queue can get quite long but its worth it
Kaya toast set ($2.60). Bread slices from Kopi Kaki #03-62 were toasted but not the crispy type. Factory kaya was overly sweet. Kopi-O kosong ‘di lok’ (undiluted) was bitter & forgetable
Wantan noodles . Average bowl from Yong Ji #03-172. Only wantans & soup were memorable. Their medium size serving was just a lot of noodles & flourescent char siew slices
Hong Kong Soy Sauce Chicken rice and noodles very yummy. Must try.
Must also try the Bak Ku Teh at 3rd Floor behind Feng Zhen Lor Mee stall, they have pig organ soup , hokkien style & teochew style Bak Ku Teh
