The service was definitely impeccable. I love the authenticity of the Japanese employees there, and the sushi was very fresh. The green tea ice cream is so creamy and to die for!

Tom

They serve authentic and some not so authentic stuff (catering to midtown lunch assume). It gets really busy around noon. Great ambiance and service. Their restaurant week lunch menu is a good value .

dawn.in.newyork

Box of dreams is the most wonderful experience only enjoyable in this place. Mini version is only available for dinner .

Elyse Estrada

Sushi lunch for two? Get the three roll combo and a 5 piece sashimi combo. Perfect amount of food to share. Grab a handful or two of M&M's on your way out the door.

Dens

Omakase from the downstairs sushi bar is amazing. Don't leave without trying the hand rolls (go spicy tuna !). I was also digging the salmon-meets-blowtorch sushi . Ask for fresh wasabi too.

Ksu K

So good! Got sushi deluxe and was not disappointed at all! Everything is fresh and fantastic. Seared tuna sushi is a celebration of flavor. Watch out for that wasabi though - it bites!

rich masio

The lunch pricing is budget-friendly and you get plenty of food. Today the tuna sashimi had a thick layer of skin which I don't care for but the snapper , fluke and yellowtail were awesome.

Eva Minsteris

The box of dreams is everything I remember it to be and more. Simply delicious and the only way to go in my opinion. I'll be back soon... hungry for more.

Patrick Martelly

Used to be regular Japanese food now sushi only. Food is great. Nice atmosphere and very friendly and professional staff . Overall great place to eat.

Jenny Ung

Recommend reservations for lunch and dinner as they are touchy when you're a walk-in. Still some of the best sushi I've had in town , and love the Box of Dreams!

Kirsty Allen

The dream box shouldn't be missed, and they ask you if there's any fish you don't like to avoid disappointment. Everything is beautifully done.

Mai Zahran

Amazing experience, I never had Japanese food like here. We had the deluxe box, the salmon mother and child, and sushi . The best Japanese restaurant in NY.

New York Habitat

If you are a sushi lover, this is the right place! Make sure to try their spicy tuna rolls , and Sushi & Sashimi Combination. And the prices are good for what you get!

ドーラ

A very trendy and upscale sit-down spot for business lunch in Midtown. They serve ultra-authentic sushi and sashimi . If no place else can please your Japanese clients, this place definitely will.

Pauline Deplaix

Amazing dishes. The box of dreams with its 9 littles dishes was very good! I would recommend the menu "take" with traditional sushis that were amazing!

Ben Mackey

An appetiser of tempura and the sushi and sashimi combo was enough for us both. Downstairs is quiet , upstairs is louder but has the sushi bar .

Kayleigh Harrington

The sushi sampler and a few rolls are great for sharing.

Michael

Casual yet upmarket vibe with amazingly fresh sushi - order the dream box for $48!

Kari Y

I was there for omakase and my chef was busy making box of dream. The choice of fishes are good but sushi were served with very cold fish and warm rice .

Lane Rettig

Reasonable price and friendly service for high quality sushi and sake . Sit at the sushi bar upstairs in front of the master chefs !

Peter Roth

Great presentation and excellent quality. Not a scene like other notable sushi spots but just as good.

Daniel La Feir

Wow! Omakase was fantastic - 2nd floor sushi bar . A must stop while in NYC. Amazing sake as well .

AmateurConcierge

Traditional, straightforward sushi in a professional and clean environment. Perfect for a casual , professional meeting

Martin S.

The chirashi plate was a bit lackluster, but well prepared. The mini box of dreams was sublime. Host was rude. Waiter was amazing. Place is really small though. Reservations preferred.

Kerem Kerimoglu

Might be the best sushi ???? I ever had. Doesn't matter what you order you will love it

Desmond Ramzan

Everything. The menu is focused so you cant go wrong

Alex Zaltsman

Outstanding sushi in the banker-heavy midtown east. Try the red miso and clam soup . Yellowtail and amberjack are fantastic here.

Danielle Snow

I had lunch there today. I got the 3 roll lunch special . it was delicious and my sushi was super fresh

Roanna K.

By far the best deal is the ladies set; 4 courses, sushi , and only $18!! Sea urchin is consistently good. Good place to catch dinner after work even if you're going solo.

Sabrina Wang

very authentic Japanese food and sushi . slightly pricy but worth it!

Loukas Petridis

By far the freshest sushi i ve had. The salmon carpacio, mother and daughter, box dinner we're all amazing.

Konstantin Zobov

Fresh fish , silent place. Expensive and nigiri are on the smaller size side. However, tasty. Book in advance.

Monday Lisa

I ate the entire box of dreams, and then it was just a box. Delicious, buttery sashimi . Now we know why Jiro dreams

Ms Helene

It may be pricey but it's authentic and the bento lunch boxes are good value . There's a reason it's one of the oldest Japanese restaurants !

Aisha Richardson

Great authentic food! A little pricey , but totally worth it!

Alexander Kuzmin

Looking for an authentic sushi and rolls, get in and try one their combos.

Amrisa Bhagwandin

Love this place. Really fresh sushi and trendy vibe. Beyond friendly service and they take care of you well .

Better, fresher than Blue Ribbon Sushi . Get the Box of Dreams for sure. Great restaurant week menu also if you eat raw
