Not only do tourists and Maine locals love chef and CIA alum Richard Varano’s restaurant , Billy’s Chowder House, but they once spotted a moose sitting by the bar !
We go there every march & Jan and for appetizers we get any if the chowders / Stews ( I prefer seafood stew ) and there fried chicken wings you won't be disappointed.
Any Lobster dish is perfectly prepared and tasty. Terrific Service and Reasonably priced, be sure to look at the stars on a clear night, amazing

Lobster stew was a bit smaller than expected and I know it's not necessarily a kids restaurant for $9 for boxed Mac n cheese not house made Mac n cheese is too pricey . Service was pretty slow.
Lobster Mac & Cheese is literally the best thing ever, get it! You won't be disappointed.
