Staff Picks

It's not listed on their menu, only written on a piece of paper against the wall, but this place has fantastic ramen.Try the tonkotsu ramen , with smooth noodles and a thick, starchy porky broth. Read more

Try the spicy miso with extra pork belly . It's some of the best ramen I've had. Service is really solid too. Had my order mistaken and they fixed it super quick even though I offered to just keep it.

Eric Mar

Our FAVORITE neighborhood RAMEN and Japanese restaurant . Comfortable and down-to-earth with great food and reasonable prices! And, right across the street from the Balboa Theater .

Serious Eats

Get a warming, satisfying bowl of ramen at this pocket-sized izayaka—the chashu isn't perfect, but the rich, balanced Shio broth is wonderful, as are the springy noodles .

Bloompy Bonvivant

Wise thing they do is only to cook the Ramen partially for take-home order. At home, you'll finish the task by boiling it a bit more for a finished product. Tonkotsu rules!

I recommend to have ramen here. You can pick the broth and flavor you like. Spicy Miso Ramen is one of the popular combinations.

Amazing Spicy Garlic Pork Ramen ! Added corn and Pork belly ! Simply to die for! ????

Jason Luk

Order extra meat when getting ramen as the standard only comes with one slice of pork when most other restaurants top it with at least three to four slices!

Lauren Jann

Service is a bit slow, so be prepared to take your time! Also, might be helpful to call ahead and make a reservation .

Anna Tran

Yukke Don is like a Chirashi Don on crack. Raw fish , fresh seaweed , bits of mushrooms and bean curd . Very satisfying meal!

Āndrew Åviza

Ramen is great. Chirashi is fabulous.

Raymond Li

Prices gone up. Less Traditional Japanese dishes on the special board.

Try the yukke !! It's awesome.

Jessica Chiang

There's only one cook, so the wait for food can get long when it's busy. We waited an hour for our dinner to arrive!

tonkotsu shoyu ramen w/extra chashu !!!

Jeffrey Chiang

Surprisingly good Katsu Curry .

Do not expect fast service . The chef/cook cooks the meals as the orders come. On average for dinner I wait 30-60 min waiting for the meal to arrive

Benny Soo

Tonkatsu shoyu ramen is mighty good here.

Jeffrey Chiang

Get any soy sauce butter dishes!

Jeffrey Chiang
