Calico hills is a good one for a short walk with some options for climbing. Calico tanks is longer but sooo worth it. Lost Creek is a gorgeous, super short hike with a waterfall at the end.
Stunning. Great introductory outdoor museum & lots of great stop off points for photo taking. It gets busy at weekends when sky is clear or interesting. Well worth the short trip to visit!
Only 7 dollars to go. Extremely worth it. The only time I've seen it crowded was on President Day weekend when admission was free. Breath taking view of the mountains .
Phenomenal national park only 30 minutes off the Strip... $15 entry per car is well worth it to drive along the scenic drive and pop off to hike various trails or just take pictures!!!
If you’re an outdoor enthusiast, this is a must see! Bring the kids for a family adventure - BUT don’t let the sun hinder your views . Wear your sunglasses to protect your eyes from the harmful UV.
There are plenty of trails you can wander down, but if you want to tour from you car, take the Scenic Route for $15. You can stop along the way. The "overlook" just past the entrance is free!

it's beautiful and has many trails of different levels of difficulty to use.
A great way to experience "the other side" of Nevada. Be sure to get out and hike at least one trail to take in the diverse array of plants and animals.
Goog place for hiking and mountains climbing, but you gotta go from early morning to spend the whole day there walking. If you have 4*4 car it will be better ????
Great spot for getting away from the strip, very close by and easy to get to. Lots of hiking , beautiful.
Beautiful red rock hiking trails and rock scrambling just :30 from Las Vegas. A highly recommended breath of fresh air after a night on the strip.
A must see in Vegas - beautiful scenery , hiking trails , springs, a great getaway if you need a break from casinos . Also learn about the history and geology of Vegas here :)
Go into the visiting center to see the taxidermy , and cave paintings . Plus: do the scenic drive before 9 AM.Don't do anything dumb like jump on the edge of a cliff just for a cool photo.
It's beautiful here and $7 to drive through. But everyone is going at least 30mph making it tough to enjoy the view . VERY crowded . Spend a few hrs and drive to Zion National Park instead!
Beautiful scenery & great hiking trails , one for everyone, no matter level of experience. Nice escape from Las Vegas. Hidden waterfalls & picnic spots are my favorite.
Visited by nearly a million people every year, this place has great sandstone peaks and rock formations that will surely leave you in awe. A day trip from the Strip will only take about 25-30 minutes.
There is nothing better than hiking here while you are in Vegas. Schedule a trip online with Hike This and Neil will show you all the coolest sites. Simply amazing!
Get there early and spend the day exploring. Lots of great areas to explore. Also there are some great geocaches in the park ! Look out for muggles though!
Just a short drive away from the crazy Las Vegas strip you can find the beautiful Red Rock Canyon National Park . If your trying to get away from the usual Vegas scene you can hike and bike .
Amazing vistas and love you can drive through And stop where you want. Best seven dollars even my toddler love it
Nice trails and great for dogs. Download an offline map app beforehand. No cell or data service. Go early to beat the heat.
Gorgeous! Take the time to hike into the wilderness a bit, as this place is beautiful, the other hikers are friendly , and I've never seen anything like this.
Wonderful hiking and natural beauty, just a short drive from the Las Vegas Strip.
A beautiful drive, but also great to get out and explore on foot or bikes . It feels like a mesh of Sedona, AZ and LV. Very picturesque, as we saw two different couples taking engagement photos there!

Great place for a beautiful hike ! Must do in Vegas and to get off the strip!
The 13 mile loop is the best $15 you can spend. Gorgeous.
Only accessible via an off-road route, Red Rock Canyon features some of Nevada’s most dynamic and eclectic scenery. Keep an eye out for desert tortoises, and the very common desert bighorn sheep
Just beautiful! Even the short trails can be challenging. Go after some Spring rain and see even more color!
Best hike is calico tanks. Hardest hike is turtle head peak. Both start at the same parking lot . One of my favorite places on the planet.
Great place for hiking and climbing. Gorgeous rock formations . Sunset is stunning time of day in the park .
Beautiful, picture perfect environment. I plan to go back.
Great place to hike if you don't mind getting a few scratches from climbing up rocks.
Beautiful canyon for a quick getaway from the strip, highly recommended
Not too far so a few hours makes a nice Las Vegas detour. $7 for the scenic drive is decent, great hiking and photo ops!
Great place for casual hikers. Great views . Get away from the strip for awhile if you can
If you are packing a day pack, here are some essentials: Good socks, water, snacks , duct tape (trust us!), headlamp and a pair of sandals. Enjoy the area and remember to leave no trace!
The 13 mile scenic view is beautiful, went on an a day of overcast & it was near perfect
Fantastic outdoor hiking . You can see waterfalls in Spring, but start very early in the summer, elevation isn't high enough to escape Vegas heat!
Absolutely beautiful!! A must see if you are in Vegas!
Did you know that the highest point in Red Rock Canyon is La Madre Mountain ? At over 8,000 feet, it is a popular climbing and hiking destination for enthusiasts.
Worth the drive or commute to view these beautiful rock colors!
Different trails at different times of year are great. Something for everyone's pace.
$7 for a 13 mile scenic drive . Worth every penny.
Enjoyed the first 2-3 overlooks with the red rocks the most. Looks like a nice place for hiking .
Must go scenic drive
