This place was amazing, such a lovely & quaint little atmosphere. The ambiance, the attention to small details, perfect place to take a date. The atmosphere almost made me put my arm around my friend.
LOVE IT! If you don't look carefully, you'll miss it in a second. Lovely atmosphere, friendly bartenders , delish cocktails ! Get the Shirley Temple of Doom! And the Bat-Manhattan, you'll thank me!
Like stepping back in time! Had a delicious meal (chick pea popcorn is awesome; get the duck confit flatbread , too) & cool cocktails . Truly a unique & fun experience - looking forward to coming back!
3$cover on live bands order a bookstore billionaire with the cream brule for a tasty fun treat
Been here once. Very good cocktails , great atmosphere and music , server I had was alright, never had food but only hear good things. A little pricey but you do get what you pay for. Deff willbe back.
Be aware that the cocktails are really expensive ($12-14?). Still highly recommended though. You pay for the atmosphere. If you come on a Friday or Saturday night, make a reservation .
Awesome speakeasy . Great drinks. Not sure about food. Didn't eat here
Short ribs , filet mignon
Chicken wrapped in bacon n the salmon ....everything
They did a wonderful job creating a unique atmosphere through all the details. They offer a lot of drinks you don't see on menus anymore. I'd take my grandfather here if he was still alive.
The drinks are good, but a bit overpriced, especially with the mandatory 25% svce charge. The website promised daily specials to enhance a limited (but good) menu, but there were no menu additions.
This is the greatest bar on the planet. Be here when Drew Nugent and the Midnight Society play hot jazz all night. Beer list is the most exclusive I have ever seen.
Lovely drink selection. Great atmosphere for jazz .
One if the best burgers I've ever eaten.
Coctails , live jazz music
Try the signature drinks or craft beers . Don't order a Coors Lite.
Cocktails are he best in town !
Yes, great concept & atmosphere. But, food was terrible. Crab cakes were bread patties flavored with a touch of crab . Blackened Chicken was rubbery and hot, but lacked flavor. Stick with appetizers .
The brunch is a must try!
Have the bartender open up Pandora's Box for you.
Try the Chickpea Popcorn -
Atmosphere
Enjoy one of The Bookstore 's delightful libations on the new Spring/Summer cocktail menu !
Live Jazz from 9pm-1am, $2.00 cover per person for the band.
what the hell happened there used to be a reason to the high prices now the prices are the same but they use well everything
Have a seat at the bar and have a grand ol time at the bar .
The cocktails are amazing!
Try the The Bookstore Burger -
Haters be hating in this tip section. Best place ever. Nurse your drink, enjoy the jazz , don't be a jerk.
Sliders are awesome.
Bruschetta ~ bad store bought crumbled goat cheese . Fig toasts- huge chunks of fig overpowering. Cool atmosphere but loud and horrible food. The Martinez cocktail was meh.
Craft cocktails ? C'mon. Let's get serious.
I absolutely love the atmosphere here! Unlike any other in this area!
Oh how I've missed you...
Super cute fun spot with a great cocktail list . Food is ok but not mindblowing. The bartenders could dial it down on the personality/dog and pony show a bit though.
Johnny Apple Tea & Death Under A Tree
Unfortunately this place seems to have changed owners and staff . The food is no longer good and the drinks went from awesome to bland. The only thing they have going for them is the ambiance.
Very expensive for the portions. I prefer to go when there is no band and it is nice and quiet .
Try the Saffron Eggs -
Stuffed Mushrooms were wonderful.
Good drinks great place to sit down and talk
The Johnny Walker Black and soda was lovely.
If you like bioshock, you'll wanna blow everyone in this place away. Then drink a delicious beer !
Open Wednesday to Saturday, 5 pm to 2 am
Love the atmosphere
Order the two most expensive beers on the menu, because you are a fancy-ass.
don't order a beer because the word "voodoo" is in the name. clearly described as "passion fruit " & ordered it anyway, blech.
Greatest. Bar . Ever.
The Bethlehem Cup. Good cocktail .
