Alberts is the best restaurant . Treehouse is the second best at the zoo . You really are kind of in a treehouse on the back patio .
Go early and get the grab and go pizza so you don’t have to wait. Nice to sit up high and outdoors. Expensive for zoo food.
Literally the least amount of love put into a meal. If you've seen prison cafeterias this is pretty close. Worst meal. Get a hot dog and save time and money
Very expensive like everything else at the zoo . But the view was great and food minimally eatable and not greasy. Pretty decent wraps .
Italian Sausage Sandwich is ok. Bread gets soggy from sauce. http://www.nosh.me/m/7106956
Not great portions, expensive , not much variety for kids. Beer good. Good atmosphere, kind employees.
The chicken parmesan is great!
Best beer at the zoo !
Meatball sub is *not* worth it. Soggy bread makes it impossible to eat as a sandwich .
Try the cheese ravioli !
Sea bass was excellent! Get it as a sandwich for the beer battered fries! - Megan F
Mangabeys, mandrills, and guenons, oh my! There are 7 different species of monkeys along Monkey Trail, and they are always busy grooming, playing, eating, sunbathing, squabbling – and watching you! - San Diego Zoo
They have excellent excellent pizza! This was recommended by a client of mine who is from Rome and I was not dissapointed in the least! I can't wait to come back to try more than just pizza! - Lyndsi Winer
By far the most authentic Italian food in San Diego. Love that they’re open for weekday lunch too! - Kate McCormley
Love this place & it's approachable Italian chow! Been a family favorite for decades. - Tyler
one of the best zoos i have ever been to. a definite must if you are in the area. - Lauren :D
Beautiful! There was a 30-60 min wait but it was so worth it. Don't forget you can only see pandas in 4 zoos in the United States. - Erin McNamara
Fantastically designed exhibit with multiple places to watch the gorillas from. Such a lively bunch. - Katie M
