Il Duomo di Milano, monumento simbolo del capoluogo lombardo, è dedicato a Santa Maria Nascente ed è situato nell'omonima piazza nel centro della città.
Piazza del Duomo 20122 Milan Lombardy Italy
Top architecture .Tip to avoid waiting: take ticket (pass a) from shop at the back of cathedral ,check the rooftop and come back again at 19:30(half an hour its enough to discover the inside).????????????
Amazing place. Huge scale. Take advantage of the all in one ticket and visit the archeology (near the door) and roof (outside on the right hand side). All are great.
The inside is nice but the real fun is going up top. Buy a stairs ticket beforehand, skip the line , and explore the roof. I pretended to be a gargoyle which amused / worried the other visitors.
Flamboyant gothic is marvelous. Climbing to the roof terrace is probably the best way to spend €7 in the whole city .
You can buy tickets online (<aclass="entity url"rel="nofollow" href="http://www.ticketone.it"target="_blank" data-sig="Pea7COi4CFsborgmtAvbNbKAhps=" onmousedown="fourSq.ui.OutgoingLink.mousedown($(this), event)" data-source="tip-text">http://www.ticketone.it</a>) without having to specify a time/date. Go straight to the 'groups' window to pick them up. Great option if you want to be flexible with your visit.
Wow! If you are in Milano and don't see the Duomo you are crazy ;) 2E and you can take photos inside for personal use. Wear suitable clothes . Chest must be covered and dresses over knee. No shorts
Its mentioned everywhere (on ticket and in guidebooks) that you cannot wear shorts but we saw a lot of men wearing shorts with their knees visible. On a hot day we came fully dressed . Not necessary!
Absolutely stunning architecture . The immense amount of detail that went into this place is astounding. 2 euros for basic access and the price goes up for there. A must visit.
Truly a great experience. Reaching the top is a MUST. Its Great, amazing view and architecture . Pre book tickets or use the auto machines in the ticket area.
The most beautiful building. Can never take enough photos of this amazing place. If you can take the lift up to the roof and have a walk around . The view is spectacular
Incredible views from the terraces , both of the city and the building itself. Walking up is very easy, and it's a good idea to buy a ticket in advance if planning on going at the weekends!
Grand architecture and fabulous facade. Most awesome part is to be able to reach the roof of the cathedral and enjoy the city views on a sunny day! Absolute must!
The church was built to hold 40,000 worshippers—the entire population of Milan when construction began and is the third-largest church in Europe (after St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome and Sevilla).
A must! Visit the rooftop and touch the beauty of its architectural details up close! Get your tickets online before you go. That way, you will not have to wait in line to enter.
The architecture , the sculptures , breathtaking, the dimensions, every bit of this church has a story, glorious!
So scenic and dramatic it'll leave you out of words.. Absolutely loved it and the square is so vibrant it's just a must!
The Duomo of Milan is an amazing sight. It's the third largest church in Christendom. To appreciate this beautiful cathedral in all its glory, take the lift to the roof!View of the Alps on a clear day
You feel the presens here. Magic. Very peaceful inside - could spend hours here. The roof top view is great on a sunny day:-) Magnificent building; both interior and exterior.
Beautiful Cathedral Duomo. You can visit the roof and terrace of this cathedral with nice view of Milano. Use stairs or elevator .
Cathedral is beautiful but on the square is so many homeless and people how are annoing with selling you every thing (food for pidgeons, selfiesticks, photos). You cant enjoy this place????
A true artwork built within six centuries with over three thousand statues placed on it and numerous tourists visiting it every day. Quite noisy and touristy .
The entrace to Duomo is free. For terrace visit you hace to pay 7€ on foot or 12€ on elevator . It worths the views . On a sunshine day seat and relax at the top of the cathedral while sunbathing .
a favorite. mark twain puts it better than i can: "...so delicate, so airy, so graceful! a very world of solid weight, and yet it seems...a delusion of frostwork that might vanish with a breath."
The view from the top is totally worth it, as long as you're okay with claustrophobic jostling along tight spiral staircases and catwalks to get there. Viva la Madonnina!
Entrance fee is 2 € just for the cathedral . There are 5 ticket offices with long queues. It is really an enourmous structure with tons of detail.
One of the most mesmerizing cathedrals in the world. Took over 500 years to complete with architectural influence from different eras, which can still be appreciated.
The most impressive cathedral in Italy! Seems like there's no end to those colomns inside and they just disappear in myst... As well as all the sounds. The whole atmosphere is really incredible!
One of the most beautiful places in the world, nice area, good memories. You have to be here at least once in your life! ????????????
If you have to stay in a long queue for tickets on a hot day, choose the ticket office on the shady side of the Cathedral (left side if you are there before noon). You will save yourself some sweat.
It was amazing to be there . I make a project for my university school , and I wrote for Duomo. So beautiful!
Wonderful cathedral , one of the few places you should definitely visit in Milan. It's fourth largest cathedral in the world!
One of the greatest churches in Europe. Must visit and you should go to the rooftop too. The view is wonderful.
Really amazing chuch ! Maybe the most iconic monument in Milano. You must climb to the top for a nice view of the city .
Amazing architecture ! This building is tall and offers you a great view over the city . It's a must to visit it while in Milan.
Second time in Milano. This time my mobile shot off then I lost everything. I search for my car two hours. I like the area but I hate the guys with corns ???? because they are layers
Beautiful building with a blending of architectural styles and an absolute must see when in Milan!
Please note that Starbucks reserve is very close to Duomo. It is always attractive building for people.
A magnificent cathedral and if you have time climb up to the roof and you can take a close look and feel of all the spires.
The entire piazza is bustling with activity and many things to see and do. La Rhinescente mall is nearby as well as food places like McDonalds.
Great architecture from 13th century. It's gigantic and we can't keep staring. Nice location with lots of shopping complex around
Worth paying for the "skip the line ticket" which meets 2:45pm most days. 1.5 hour tour with amazing rooftop views
Just go to the rooftop ! Really cool view of the city and take the elevator ????
Architecture is impressive. Inside the monument is less spectacular. It is worth to visit anyhow.
A gigantic work in late Gothic style, it spreads out over a surface of 11,700 m2. From its 108 m. post, the statue of the Madonnina stands out, along with the pinnacles. http://tinyurl.com/9sh96xw
Amazing architecture . Gothic and takes you back to medieval times. Intricate and spellbinding statues and sculptures
With its spires, pinnacles, gables and countless statues , this cathedral is most breathtaking when the afternoon sun shines on its white stone. – Green Guide Editor
5th largest church in the world that took 500 years to complete building. A must-visit attraction in Milan other than shopping.
Entrance fee with elevator to the roof costs 16 EUR.Note the rules for visitors (clothes etc). Ticket office is located on right side from cathedral .
If you go to Milan, go to the Cathedral . Go up to the roof. Just beautiful. A very special place!!
Camera wrist bands cost 2 € each person for taking pictures inside the Duomo Milano. It's worth it!
Probably the best well spent 8€ in Milan. The view is awesome, the cathedral is amazing too! - Stefan Alexandru
