Osteria "La Gensola"

One of the best Italian restaurants : Eggplant starter and the shrimps and wheat are simply amazing. The Amatriciana is top. You might have to queue for a bit but definitely worth it. Friendly staff .

I am surprised this restaurant is not rated higher. The special of pasta with porcini and shrimp was one of the best meals I have in Italy. Ever! Staff is awesome.

Pasta alla Norma the only dish that has to be produce, who ever takes over the restaurant , the branzino baked in salt, and the wine list . The best non-Michelin food we had in two monthsin Rome.

This place is incredible!!! The scallops were some of the best I've had and the cassata (straight from Palermo) was so good we had to order seconds!

Love this place: simple, relaxed, buzzy, tasty! Try fried calamari and zucchini , all desserts are fantastic, especially apple pie . The Ox tale pasta is smth unusual and delicious. Book on Fri-Sat

Raw fish , especially oysters , are incredibly good. For "primo" try the spaghetti with sea urchin (Ricci di mare), then you cannot miss the cassata , a delicacy delivered twice a week from Palermo.

Very fresh seafood . Grilled calamari was good. Get chicory as a side. Service was very fast

Wonderful Sicilian kitchen with mainly seafood . Everything we had was outstanding, served by a heart warming service team in a relaxed atmosphere . Heavily recommended!

Very good staff . Typical Italian food cooked deliciously. Reasonable price, can be considered even cheap taking the high quality in account.

Don't miss the "Strapazzata di cavolo nero" - it's basically some scrambled eggs with black cabbage , bacon and some other stuff I can't remember... but I swear it's much more delicious than I can make

It's like somewhere from the countryside in the middle of a touristy area of Rome. Full of locals.
