Not only the best place for weird music (improv jazz electro etc...) but also fantastic for daytime food. I loved the middle-eastern food made by Zardosht, in a quiet environment .
Just buy a ticket to a gig and enjoy the atmosphere, the programme is so varied and eclectic the best way to go is a lucky dip
There's a period where they don't do any food, but when they do it's middle eastern inspired and wonderful. Great music almost every night.
Japanese Plum Wine ! Great Kernal Ales and also a great venue for live music . It gets very warm in here though.
Good vibe but disappointed with the coffee as it is quite watery. Good selection of food and cakes and several individual tables making it laptop friendly , however many of these tables are quite low.
Busy venue with lots of great cultural and music events . A little bit pretentious if you attend on the wrong night.
Nice chilled out atmosphere for afternoon lunch . Great Ground Beef Flatbread . Decent ales too!
Check out the events page and go for a glass of wine/beer to go with some great beard stroking music .
Good venue, great staff . Interesting events .
Excellent selection of tea . I recommend the Hiljiri Hojicha . Top oolong.
Nice Berlin style venue✨ coffee during the day, beer in the night☕️ ????
I love to sit & work here yet still I'd not say that their coffee tastes good enough.
Pretty functional and chilled, come here if you want to pay a bit more for your coffee and feel cool
London’s best place for alternative music concerts
Nice bit of classical playing in the background. Good spot to stop and work in the middle of Dalston.
Chilled atmosphere, simple and not pretentious
very nice Berlin-style cafe during the day playing good/weird music
Come here at night if you want to hear some experimental music Read more
Ultra hip Dalston Bar . Nice outdoor seating on the sidewalk during the summer.
Great for Lunches - Tuna Wrap with soup & Salad . Best Coffee in Town (Monmouths) & also try some of the Sakis! Fantastic music program too!
A great arty place with a really interesting offer.
Great venue with a good selection of experimental shows.
One of the greatest place for improv music & free jazz in the UK. My favourite!
Fantastic sit down venue that also operates as a cafe . Ginger nut cookie is delicious.
Amazing Persian wraps , soup
Great music venue and cafe
Best food around made daily by vasilis chamam.

great place for Interneting and jazz
Very good brunch !
Get there early to get a seat!
Sat outside on Saturday reading fairy tales and eating scarily over-priced-but-lovely chocolate truffle . (Really? £1 for a chocolate Oto?)
Wifi : robinson19
Serving bottle conditioned beers like kernel without a glass? I don't think so.
Wifi code 'berthling14' (as of Aug 2014)
Best place for gigs

Good coffee but lukewarm unfortunately.
Not as Japanese as I had been led to believe. Good selection of fruity drinks though.
The London Porter is lovely. You should drink it again and again.
Like the Book Club, but more authentic .
I wouldn't eat the food on the counter. Flies kept landing on it.
Come with an appetite as the meat brunch is so filling - Mat A
Neighborhood cafe just off broadway market (hence the name). Perfect for young urbanite families and friends - Gijsbregt Brouwer
Lovely cafe in Broadway market, great coffee, cakes and lunch! Some deli products as well. - Ioanna Laskari
The service is a bit slow, but those poached eggs and salmon are to die for. The beer garden is brilliant! - María
Unique acts and unique venue, very intimate. Organic vodka a plus! although gave me dragons breath! ;-) - D
Cool spot for summer fun. Great music, crowd and atmosphere. The cocktails and bites are well priced. Lovely views! - Niamh Breslin
A wonderful hidden garden in the heart of the city. Well used by locals - particularly Mums with children. - Gary Heather
