I must agree with the others, best chicken tikka masala in the city . If you like garlic , the garlic naan is a plus to dip in the leftover sauce. BTW they do not serve alcohol .
This place is awesome! We always get chicken tikka masala , lamb chops , rice , naan , and mango lassi . Yummy!!
Tied for 1st w/LK for most authentic + rich Indian/Pakistani food in the city . Perfect amount of spices. The dhaal, kofta , makhani, all YUM. Also, they offer brain masala on their menu.
Last night there was a small bent metal NAIL or staple in my okra . I had gotten takeout . Luckily I saw it. Needless to say this was my last of many happy visits to Shalimar.
Tikka masala and naan is a great place to start.
You can bring your own beer . Stop off at Jug Shop first and get a bottle or can of craft brew .
The Saag-Paneer(Palak paneer ) is excellent ! Have it with the huge Naans
Looks a bit shady but is hands down the best indian food i ever ate!!
cheap , simple, no frills curry . BYOB .
Eat outside if you don't want to smell like a tandoor oven afterwards.
Great masalas with freshly baked naan nothing better.
lamb chops and chicken tikka masala . AMAZING.
Try the Okra Vegetable - vegetable dungeon natures bounty vat oil jam fuel
BYOB - stop by Royal Liquor across the street first and get a 40 of Miller High Life first
Bring your own beverage BYOB
Joseph Manzare, chef of Globe, eats here on his nights off. He loves the Chicken tikka masala . Read more
Chicken tikki masala , naan
My favorite "street" style Indian/Pakistani spot. Cash only .
Really enjoyed the tikka masala :)
The best chicken tikka masala I'm the city
It just isn't the same as the Sunnyvale or the SF main location
Awesome naan bread !
Naan is so good!
Saag gosht!
Very spicy . Too much for my taste. Even a mango lassi couldn't help with the heat.
Everything here rules.
Shalimar triumphs Pakwan in my mind
same scowls, same delicious food as shalimar in tenderloin. bonus: not located next door to a homeless shelter !
No ambiance but a neighborhood gem !
So. Good.
First visit... A kind of okay...
Dump a load of sugar in a cup, then fill it up with delicous (and REALLY hot) tea .
Chicken tikka masala + naan + kabli channa
Chicken Marsela and the yogurt
Nice food. Do not look inside the kitchen. lol
Try the brains masala at least once.
try the chicken tikka masala - it's oily, greasy, totally delicious.
Have some mango lassi my friend, it's good for you!
Tandori chicken
RUDE AND OFFENSIVE We tried to reserve a table over the phone before closing time. They told us that they were closed once we got there 20 minutes before. DON'T BOTHER MAKING THE SAME MISTAKE WE MADE!
Perhaps the worst chicken tikka masala I've ever had.
The chicken and lamb seekh kababs are great. Tandoori chicken breast / boti - two thumbs up - Tarun Anjan
Kati rolls are amazing. Be sure to check the specials for fillings. Today was chicken kofte meatballs. Yum! - Dave Jensen
Best Indian food in San Francisco! Amazing food, incredible prices and they're open tillKid night. Love their naan, chicken tikka masala, and kababs. Must visit if you like Indian cuisine. - Yazz Ibrahim
So fun, love this place. The bartenders are all very nice, Drinks/Beers are good and patrons are for the most part very cool!! - KK
