The Lafayette Hotel, Swim Club & Bungalows

Poolside room was given to me because I asked for a good view . Front desk attendant was extremely nice. I will definitely be staying here when I return. Only small problem was the thin walls. Awesome.

The staff at the front desk and at the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. They gave me ideas as to what to do with my trip to San Diego while I was there. They were a great team.

This place is hip , dapper, nostalgic and awesome! My tub fills when Im taking a shower , but really, least of my problems! Bar , pool, and good company! Nice staff too

A trendy retro style hotel with a huge swimming pool . Very well appointed and regularly has good shows in the Mississippi Room .

Every room has a designated movies tar. We stayed in the Jimmy Stewart room. Very clean and the bath soaps are fantastic!!

A lot of fun to be had in this somewhat campy hotel from the 40s. The Johnny Weismuller designed pool is a constant party.

Yea the vintage feel and pool scene are nice. Rooms are lacking though. Refreshed with paint but still outdated. Also no fridge in the rooms

Hotel has lots of history and so much potential, but is in need of serious updating. However, rooms were clean , staff was nice, and pool was great.

Don't bring your own beer , they take it, but its cool for them to have pint glasses around the pool.

Keep activities towards the center of the bed to avoid tipping the mattress over.

Maids are SO loud in the morning. "Por vida!" Nice beds tho. Restrooms are not private at all. Checkers were fun tho. Walls are thin.

Though it is a historical place, it is far from its glamour days. Beds are saggy, no hot water and no internet in the room!
