This museum helps to complete the cultural quilt of the city of Chicago as well as the entirety of America. It showcases much art in addition to history.

A dynamic range of histories surrounds the visitor and immerses one within the vision of Margaret Burroughs, founder. The location is nothing short of beautiful due to its location in Washington Park .

Free on Sundays! The Harold Washington exhibit is super interesting if you don't know much about Chicago history.

Someone wrote a tip saying this is the largest museum in the world, which is false. Like REALLY false. Not even top 10. Anywho, it's ok. 1st African American museum . Definitely worth a visit.
