The sashimi has the best texture and freshness out of all the sushi restaurants I've been to. Sushi burrito is a must order. Great prices and location!
As good as the sushi is, don't skip on the salad . Very fresh ingredients and a simple garden salad with ginger dressing
Really good food and amazing presentations, conveniently located, parking could be a little tricky sometimes.
The best sushi place in Baltimore. The rolls are amazing, huge. The prices don't look special until you see the size of the rolls
Fresh BYOB Sushi in Federal Hill at Shoyou Sushi http://liketheteaeats.com/2016/03/13/shoyou-sushi-federal-hill/
They don't charge extra for the belly of the fish ! Not on the menu , you have to ask for belly (Tuna , Salmon , Albacore , and Yellowtail )
Chef Bruce is the best - always nice and make delicious (affordable ) food! Great little spot in the neighborhood !
very small place, awkward seating and the rolls were huge! Too overwhelming, could barely eat it and didn't feel good afterwards. Didn't try the burrito . Rollers didn't wear gloves either ????
Everything is amazing! Playboy is my favorite.
Very fresh sashimi , reasonable selection. Sundays are dry so if you want a drink, choose another night.
They moved just up the block in 2018. They are no longer BYO , and they take credit cards . The new address is 1450 Light St
Delicious, creative sushi that is very affordable . The staff is super friendly . A neighborhood gem !
staff is super friendly , sushi is delicious and well priced. love the fried dumplings and baked scallop roll !
Some humorously named rolls , low prices and BYOB makes Shoyou a go-to Read more
Japanese burrito , the oriole park , and the Hawaiian ahi are all excellent
The Japanese burritos are the absolute best

The oriole park is great - note it is a large roll !
Very small and intimate sushi spot with the added bonus of BYOB .
Good sushi . Friendly service . No alcohol but byob
Get the Japanese Burrito . You will not be sorry.
The rolls were entirely too large!! Had to cut them in half and even then they were too big. Also had a stomach ache after. ????
The best Sushi I ever tried!
The spicy tuna tempura roll is fantastic
"full option" is pretty good!
Omakase does not disappoint
Great array of unique sushi rolls and sashimi. We were there after a 200lb. Bluefin arrived; it was prepared and seasoned beautifully. The staff was professional. We could have eaten there all night. - Ronald Carlucci
Mackerel sushi is delicious. Tamago is also noteworthy. Sushi rolls, disastrous. - Amy Z
The Spicy Salmon Philly Roll is pretty great. Order it extra hot. Service isn't super fast so just chill and enjoy the friendly casual atmosphere. The rolls are worth the wait. Super nice owners. - Eating Baltimore
Shuffleboard a solid draft list - what's not to like??? - Tom Nelson
Chocolate hazelnut and banana are amazing! Also loved chocolate hazelnut with pistachio!! - Karol Martìnez
