Georgetown Loop Railroad

This was an awesome experience! Great scenic views , and very relaxing. I recommend the covered car, they serve beer and wine !

Always an fun day! The staff is friendly and the ride is fun and informative.

Board the railroad for a narrow-gauge train ride to nearby Silver Plume and back. The trip affords open-air views of the Clear Creek Valley and a walking tour that takes you into an 1870s mine tunnel .

There are two trains : steam and oil. Try both. Worth a second trip.

Had our pics taken and told nothing thought we might have the option to buy later like many tourist places. At the end we were given a photo pack and key rings that we didn't order and charged $20?

Spend the extra money for the extended mine tour (unless you have kids under the age of 7)

Bring a light rain coat and don't sit on the ends or you will get wet from the steam

If you are in a dining car, DON'T get the so called "artisan " meat & cheese platter . It was a disgusting waste of $8. In fact, the whole experience was rather overpriced and underwhelming.
