Cynthia's Chinese

Mongolian beef spicy , fragrant & tender. Dark pearl chicken with crispy leaf fragrant & tender. Fujian fried rice fragrant, lots of wok flavour. Served with sauce on top, which was very flavourful.

Buddha Delight was Luo Han Zai. It was good, with a mix of Western & Chinese vegetables , including black fungus, lotus root & water chestnut . It was a very light dish.

Staff in traditional Chinese garb: some waitresses in cheongsams, others in minority (Miao?) garb. Even the men get in on the action with Tang suits. Pay cash & get a return voucher worth about 10%.

The sign advertises it as a place for fine dining . The restaurant is set up that way too, though the decor is a bit dated. You even get a hot towel (this is very 1980s Chinese restaurant ).

Special soup was crab meat & fish maw soup . There wasn't a lot of crab , but it was real crab meat , not crab-flavoured seafood stick. There was a lot of fish maw.

Moo goo guy pan: The server served us the food: very old fashioned. There was a lot of chicken & it was tender & tasty.

Menu has some Chinese fine dining dishes but mostly North American Chinese (fortune cookies too). You don't get Markham or Richmond Hill variety, but this is rather far north after all.

Beef with flat noodles was pretty good. There was some smoky wok flavour & a lot of beef .

In the same plaza as Cynthia's AYCE concept, but offering Chinese food instead of all you can eat . This outlet has Halal food

Wasn't too impressed. Plus a little too pricey for the quality of the food.

Very fancy but overpriced.
