The Red Squirrel experiment was a catastrophic failure. Let's see how "The Squirrel" (see what they've done there?) pans out. It'll be The Skiddaw in 2017 probably?

Sometimes they have 2 burgers for a price of 1. Try it, delicious!

Ever changing staff and very quiet but a few good pints and a decent menu. Sunday lunch good.

2 for £10 Steak burgers on a Thursday, bargain and delicious.

The big barman here (dark ponytail ) really does know know his onions ; top marks to him for drinks and welcome. Overall this place is ok but not spectacular though.

Avoid it if u have kids. Went for Sun Roast at 5:45 & were asked to leave because our kids were "annoying." Should have said we weren't welcome from the start instead of 45 min in after ordering

Having second thoughts. Burgers disappointing and everything out of the freezer. Meh.

Forget the beer on tap there's a large bottled craft beer selection to be had here. Large wine list too. Love the tear off menus. Food can be good and there's a decent burger to be had. - Ed George

Amazing old style pub with partitions you have to duck under at the front. Nice dining area and gastro style food. Also looks like there are she cellar booths downstairs. - Annabell Norden
