17 July: Lie on London's only public beach , found at the heart of a national nature reserve . Dug in 1811 to feed water to the Grand Union Canal , it is now a popular spot for picnics and walkers.
Hot day, get some ice cream , chill by the beach , go for a walk in the forest , get the mini train back. Expect to pay for parking about £6. Now get the kids together ????????????
The carvery is decent and costs under a fiver each during the week!
My fav bit about this place is walking through the Forest .
You can take a walk along the lake and among trees so lovely

If the carvery is fresh then fed worth it, but otherwise avoid it. Too dry and portions of meat are small.
Carvery dinner is terrible ... might be cheap but avoid it like the plague ...
