There were surfers, the beach is great, quiet people. I really loved the time here!
I've lived in this nieghborhood for 15 years. The warning to watch your things when you are on the beach that someone left applies to any beach , any whee. This is a very safe area .
If you see tents and such: those are the cubanos and they will be very loud and play music even louder...
