I've been to many RAs in the city , and this store by far has the best staff . Yes, wait a bit, but the cashiers are super nice. I go out of my way to go to this location.
Yes, lines are usually long and some staff seem to be able to hide from working the cash registers. But 99% of them are nice and helpful. Rite Aid has the best prices in the West Village area.

This is hands down the worst rite aid in the US. Maybe worst retail store ever. Don't go here. And if you don't believe me or think I have a personal grudge--go here. You'll see for yourself
