There's an amazing little shop where they sell beautiful handmade silver jewelry for men and women. It's quite expensive compared to the cell phone cases and fake bags, but you pay for what you get!
For those that love board games , resist the temptation. Unless you can read Cantonese, these games will be worthless. Yes, even the ones with English on the outside are all Cantonese on the inside.
Prepare to haggle ! The experience is quite humorous and fun. Remember that you should only pay 25% of the price they quote you. ????
Tour around this area for souvenirs, and witness some street performers singing and dancing , and sample some good street food like cheong fun and curry fish ball
Not to be mistaken. This is a day market and not a night market . Please note that when shopping in Ladies Street Market ; haggle . Usually you should ask for 75% off the asking price.
A taste of traditional HK experience. A must visit market while you are in Kowloon area.
Typical market in HK, if you are looking for phone case or other accessories for you phone, handbags , USB sticks, etc, it is the place to be. Do not forget to negotiate the price
Bargain! They won't let you leave unless you buy something and every time you try to leave the price will go lower. And if they finally let you leave - that means that's as low as it gets - take it!
Avoid the old lady with the spa sign???? ! Massage Massage ! ????✊
Love reading all the tips here...in summary, bargain with all the skills u posses, but only if u really wanted to buy the stuff, otherwise the seller would turn into an angry bird, tq
A traditional street market selling all sorts of cheap merchandises but local people have long stopped shopping here. The place has become a tourist attraction instead.
It's an amazing spot to watch peoples' many differences way of lives
Across Mongkok road is some great offal and other local Hong Kong delights. Definitely try the various waffles , egg shaped and peanut marinated.
Get ready to haggle and do not hold back, the vendors will certainly not! A little bit of everything, take your time and do not feel compromised: if you do not like an offer just walk away, no prob!
This is my 3rd visit and I enjoy shopping there. Low to medium quality merchandise that you need to hackle to lower their prices.
Awesome authentic market , worth a look even though it's mostly filled with touristy junk.
Honestly "BARGAIN" your way around or walk around first without buying. I back to the cheapest store and bargain. They all sell similar things. You'll get confused
Show a bit of interest. Then when you get quoted a price, just walk away. They will come after you and name lower prices. You will end up paying some amount less than 40% of the original quoted price.
Only ask for the price if you are very interested to buy. I like to watch the street salesmen/ladies perform with their product, quite entertaining.
Many tourists come here just to walk along the market , while locals are determined to buy goods and even get esoteric services around the corner.
It's open from 11am til 11pm. ⏰ You can also find good restaurants around.
Make sure you keep a close eye on all of your personal belongings as you walk through the market . It's easy to get pickpocketed with so many people in such a small area.
All of things you can get here.. Everything...! A Cheap Shopping Paradise!
4 blocks of stalls. Good variety. Bargain from about 50%. Walk away if not satisfied with the price. They'll call you back.
Make sure not to act too "American" or you will be jipped for sure! When bantering cut the price as low as you can andpay no more than 50% of the original price. Walk away and they'll take the bait.
Whatever price you get, try divide by 10. If you really want it, then try divide by 8.
In the heart of Mongkok, a super busy night market . It's all about haggling !
Haggle for at least half price first! If you dare, go for 30% of the offered price ;p but make sure that you're gonna buy the thing when the deal price already reached
One of the famous tourism spot in Hong Kong
Some store owners are very hard to haggle , some offer lower price immediately. Ask nicely and they will give a considerable price.
Got several high quality gift items , after bargaining hard, for less than half similar goods in Stanley and or Central - definitely a MUST visit location...
Do a round before you buy anything and ask prices along the way to compare and then barter...like your life depended on it. :)
Bargain time ask almost half of the price...careful to some sales ladies!!! I was hurt when i shoped!!!!! She grabbed me just to close the deal.... Grrrrrrr!!!!
An avenue full of cheap goodies with lotsa restos and massage shops. Find the Reflexology And have a good massage !
The name says it all, Ladies' Market is a must-visit destination for ladies' fashion and household knick-knacks.
Haggle as much as you can and most stores have similar stuff
Good for bargain hunting but bad if you hate crowds. Avoid on Sundays to beat the rush!
just bargain, bargain and bargain! enjoy cheap and (moderate) quality goods!
you need to bargain 50% of the sellers sellling price everytime!!!
This is a crazy but amazing place
If you are looking for trendy clothes . This is not the place. They sell stuff from world war II. Try the new Langham shopping mall instead.
Bargain, bargain and bargain.. İf u can find anything u like...
Make sure you visit the entire market for comparison of the prices before commituing your cash to one stall. There may be better deals ahead of you!
You are nuts if you pay anything close to the initial asking price. Walk away if they won't negotiate. Trust me--they'll come after you with a better price.
Good and cheap stuff, you need to bargain
Bought HK t-shirt 6 pcs for only $90, look for the guy in this street near dundas St.
You might think you got a good deal here but trust me, no one does. (cheap ass low cost stuffs sold at 200% - 300% margin).
It's a MUST to bargain. There is no fix price for every item. However, make sure you really want it before bargaining. Quality of products are not bad!
It was fun and you can bargain with prices on everything
Mere blocks away from CHI 279, this world famous market offers something for even the most experienced bargain shopper.
Great place for curios and knick-knack shopping. Some lively antique and gift shops, old hong kong posters and memorabilia. Have a good rummage! - Nic Tinworth
Genuine local market. Apliu Street is great but explore the adjacent streets - Kweilin & Peiho St. - R Tan
The jade market was the best except for when the people wanted me to buy things that I didn't need I did my best at making small talk with them - Courtney-James Dunbar
