There's no better place to head for a sunset after visiting Sugar Loaf. Very authentic place for a cold beer and something to bite. Get the shrimp pastry , find a spot to seat and enjoy the sea view .
It’s not even by far one of the best bars in the city ,but is one of the most famous.Don’t expect great food,comfort and even a good service ,but an amazing view and one of the best atmospheres ever.

Being able to sip ice cold beers outdoors, a couple of meters above the waters of Guanabara Bay with a wonderful view , along with delicious snacks such as shrimp pastéis is too perfect to be true.
Great for a hot day. Eat at the snack bar , not the restaurant - grab your food and sit on the wall overlooking the sea. Signature dish is the delicious seafood broth served in a polystyrene cup!

Sit on the seawall and order starters, or go to the restaurant upstairs. Cod balls are fabulous. Beware the size of the Sao Paulo shrimp . Easily enough for 6 people to share.
Autentic experience in Rio, with beautiful sunset and place to chillax ...great local pastry , service and caipirihna - locals do not save up on amount of cacacha in your drink :) amazing!
Really nice place. You can go there for the restaurante upstairs or to seat outside . Both options are great. The food is really good.
Heaping platters of polvo grelhado (grilled squid ), arroz com brócolis (rice with broccoli ), and risottos . One plate can easily feed 3 for lunch .

It's one of the best "bolinho de bacalhau" from Rio de Janeiro! Try the Original beer with them, and... the view is awesome in the sunset !
Grab an Antarctica Original an some fried foods from the counter on the lower level, walk across the street and set up on the sea wall. Locals watch the sunset and chill out .
Enjoy the view with some nice caipirinha (please with cachaça Velho Barreiro), the sea stew in the plastic glass will keep you going for hours.
Empadinha of absolutely any flavour is 100% win win! On top of that the bear is served in a perfect temperature. Top tip weekends are way too busy
Great bar seafood . Chill atmosphere outside near the wall. Bolinho de bacalhao and the crab cakes were delicious.

Travel tip: save on cab rides from Ipanema Beach by taking bus 511 to Urca and then take bus 512 back.
