Onslow Beach

In order to drive on the beach you need a beach pass for your vehicle. You get them from the Conservation La Enforcement office , free of charge. At building saw 400 on Old Sawmill Road .

It can be crowded and there's always a ton of kids, but the short drive makes it worth choosing over Top Sail . The water is so nice this time of year too :)

No one walking Onslow Beach today, so it is very private, beautiful, with lots of shells. Anyone know of another beach where military folks have it so good? Would love to know of other places!

Wait for the bad weather to pass once they've kicked everyone off of the beach . Then the beach is open game after 6p! ;)

I always come to this beach when I don't want to drive all the way to Emerald Isle. It's a quick easy get a away.

Wide open beaches . Plenty of room. Check all 4 pavilions if you want to find the smallest crowds.

Walk south along the beach and you find it's nearly untouched.
