It takes about 8-10 hours to see everything they have to offer. I spent 5 hours there and only saw 60% of it! Their Native American & Asian art exhibits were incredible...best I've seen yet!
One of the largest art museums between Chicago and the West Coast! Don't let the 70,000 works of art overwhelm you and pick a few exhibitions/floors to check out. Lockers available behind the stairs.
The Denver Art Museum is practically overflowing with great exhibits . Asian, Western American, Modern, and the excellent American Indian gallery . Don't forget "Fox Games". It's a fantastic must see.
While the rotating exhibits are definitely the draw here, there are also fantastic displays of Native American/Western art . Be sure to cross the bridge into the adjacent building to see it all.
Great museum and an easy walk from downtown. The Degas exhibition was just starting and its spectacular!!
One of the best art museums I've been to. The Asian Art Floor alone is worth the trip — but take your time and definitely take pictures. So beautiful.
Either figure out what you want to see in a few hours or plan on spending most of a day here. Lots of opportunities for creativity, from contributing thoughts on Denver to making your own slogan pins.
Coming from DC, free museums are everywhere so having to pay for any museum is disappointing. But, these exhibits sounded really neat and was actually a nice experience + worth the price to visit!!!
The architecture is so unique and their rotating exhibits are always a great reason to keep going back over and over again.
It's definitely an amazing museum , I could have spent a day or maybe more visiting it. Has everything for everyone. Highly recommend!
Very well curated in an architectural masterpiece, this museum is the perfect program for a rainy day!
DAM has nine curatorial departments: architecture , design & graphics; Asian art ; modern and contemporary ; native arts ; New World; painting and sculpture ; photography ; Western art ; and textile art .
Great exhibits , my favorites are of the American West! Take your time, spend a little extra for featured exhibits and have a great day, especially during a free one ;)
Hamilton Building > Level 2, Western American Art > Studio. There is a stamp dispenser that sells USPS Forever stamps for 35¢ each. That’s 14¢ cheaper than what they’re supposed to be.
Great activities for kids (a scavenger hunt, hands-on art studio and other fun stuff) throughout the museum . A nice mix of modern, contemporary and historical artworks.
Be sure to go while they have the quilting and textile room open. You get to create your own square using materials they provide! Very fun. Read more
Many crafts and activities for families. Very friendly staff . Rather eclectic . Plan on spending at least a couple of hours.
Wonderful, interesting and well laid out exhibition . Thoroughly enjoyed it. The little audio device they give you is informative when it comes to what they deemed 'adult' pieces.
Nice museum part of the Denver cultural square. On the first Saturday & Sunday of the month entrance is free. Good activities for kids.
It was a very nice visit..it reminded a bit of Museum of Louvre..surprisingly the kids enjoyed it as well ..and they had the opportunity to develop their talents through few activities
The museum is very nice. Good levels and art throughout. They even have a penny machine!
If you have luggage, the museum has a handful of pretty big lockers downstairs (modern wing). They can easily fit a full-size suitcase & they're free!
This museum is so gorgeous and has so many thoughtful spaces for kids to keep them engaged. Best art museum .
A fantastic museum . The teams behind making the exhibits possible really do give it their all.
It will take more than one visit to see and appreciate everything. First Saturday of the month is free admission . :-)
Disappointing Degas exhibit , but really neat building. Otherwise a lot of animal art , American, and Asian art during my visit. There's a parking garage right next to the museum . 2$/hour.
The jagged edges of the Daniel Libeskind-designed Hamilton Building house Old West art , contemporary masterworks, massive installations and traveling exhibitions .
The museum enriches the lives of Colorado and Rocky Mountain residents through the acquisition, preservation, and presentation of art works in both the permanent collections and temporary exhibitions .
Everything is great! The architecture , the art inside, the people who stands, the gardens , everything ????
They have Bouguereaus, Oldenbergs, a Monet, the Chapman Brothers, Barbara Kruger and even a sculpture by Yoshitomo Nara! Plus a solid floor dedicated to Asian art .
Denver Art Museum 6.4 miles to the west of Denver dentist Town Center Dentistry and Orthodontics
The best place to world art in Denver. Their blockbusters are of the highest quality. I'd recommend this museum to visitors of Denver and Denverites alike.
Fantastic exhibitions , family creativity boosting spaces and a little bit for everyone really
Did you know? The design of the Hamilton building was inspired by the Rockies & rock crystals from the foothills; the older North building breaks from tradition and "temple-style" museum architecture . Read more

Went for general admission ticket was $10. The museum had a DIOR exhibit that was sold out. The lockers require a quarter deposit to operate.
Definitely become a member! So many rotating exhibits and the evergreen ones are fantastic.
Wonderful and family-friendly installations! Check out an activity tube for the kids and stop by the first floor activity gallery .
take the elevator to the top and then the stairs on the way down after seeing exhibits . beautiful architecture not to be missed :)
If you find the dustpans/brushes too big, head on over to The ART Hotel next door.
Several interesting shows up at the moment. The building is a little tired.
Whatever you do, do NOT parking in the parking structure !!! Use the 5 hour parking meters or surface lots. You could spend 30-45 minutes trying to get OUT of the structure 's horrendous line !
Even if you aren't a kid, play the games near the beginning of each exhibit !
Go behind the scenes January-October with Final Fridays: an after hours creative experience that includes a cash bar and hor d'oeuvres.
Beautiful museum . A must see when you visit Denver.
Love the collections, the exhibition schedule, the architecture !
Great art with great prices and some free days! The art is usually changed out.
The South American Religious Collection is great, as is the precolonial art .
