Kimpura never fails to satisfy our hunger pangs for japanese food while being entertained with the cook preparing them right in front of us. One of the classic respectable & affordable japanese resto .
Uni was really really good. I also love their tamago and the gyoza . Sadly, the Salmon was so-so and the Sukiyaki beef was a tad too sweet. Service is good and fast.

Today's white rice is tomorrow's fried rice . This is actually true. Fried rice needs overnight rice to lessen its moisture. The fried rice here is too wet, reeks of margarine and was mushy.
Overall just an ok meal. Everything was good but then you notice the lapses. Maki roll was too wet making them easy to crumble. Angus steak teppanyaki not evenly cut. Fried rice too mushy.
For a Black Angus ribeye teppanyaki , I felt the beef was of inferior quality. The cuts were uneven which also made for uneven cooking. The fats weren't toasted properly and the togue stir fry oily.

The food was really good but we are a bit disappointed with the service. We were there on a weekday evening and it seems that the servers were not mindful of the customers' needs.
