Indiana's oldest bar , opened as the Tremont house in 1850. One of the best bars in Indianapolis, live blues music most nights, excellent service, and also reputedly haunted!

It's Indiana's oldest (1850), continually operated bar in the same building, is by far the city 's most well-known after-hours attraction .

Great place for blues music and very good beer . They have good specials all the time and very wide variety of alcohols available. Service is not their forte' but go there for music and booze

The upstairs used to be a brothel in the early 20th century. True story a man was murdered here and the bloodied knife was left in the bar . The gash marks can still be seen on the main bar top.

Live music starts at 8:30. Most acts are blues . You can't hear well from the bar so get a table in the main room.

Best bar food in town . Get the burger or hot wings . Beer is cold and half off Thursdays is painfully good.
