Simply the best local cured meats anywhere. You can spend some dough in the restaurant , but just go up to the deli counter to take stuff home! I'd reccomend the pork shoulder bacon !

Eater

This combination butchery counter, steakhouse , and sandwich stop ushered in an entire movement toward meat. The bar features Portland's most famous cocktail : The Smoke Signal . [Eater 38 Member] Read more

Order several things and share some great Portland food. Well crafted cocktails . Make a reservation .

If you’re looking for a nice cozy and fancy outing this is a great spot. Tasty cocktails and fabulous service too. The food is amazing and if you love steak they have a great steak too.

Stacy Bo Bacy

Flat iron is the best steak I’ve ever had. Burger was delicious, but fries were too salty for me. Best to order meat cooked rare or medium rare.

A former convenience store is now an airy brasserie and a popular butcher shop . Standout menu items include the pan-seared imperial Wagyu steak with caramelized radicchio.

Nigel Stephenson

Some of the best food I have eaten in Portland. Great attention to detail, they care what goes on the plate. Service outstanding. Highly recommended for dinner .

Arthur Mitchell

Had a Reuben . The pastrami was on the greasy side and the sandwich was skimpy. The butcher 's pates and sausages looked excellent. Have to come to try.

Amy Hollands

The butcher is my go to place for Tasso and andouille on Jambalaya night. I am a fan of the #3 sandwich . Yum! Next time, I will be ordering the Cajun meatloaf sandwich . Heard rave reviews!

Haley Hughes Bryan

Awesome cocktails . Get a steak because they are wonderful although quite large. Definitely go for the dulce de leche cheesecake if it's on the menu because it's heavenly.

Doniree Walker

Delicious. Had the chicken with polenta , Brussels sprouts , and puréed cauliflower . Started with fleur de lis bread and devolved eggs - awesome. Best part? Side of Mac and cheese . WOW.

can someone pls explain how the meat so: indescribable, decadent, flavorful, and singularly orgasmic? I used that word for food, no regraaats ✨

If you're in the mood for meat, this is the place and it's really reasonably priced. My favorite steak and fries in PDX and it's only $20.

Jared

The meat cuts here are amazing. Steak , prime rib , and chops were so delicious. Highly recommend. The boar pâté was phenomenal.

Sara Gravens

100% save room for dessert - the olive oil cake with strawberries and basil ice cream is out of this world. Hurry, it's a seasonal item , and won't be around long.

Stephanie

The meats served here are well sourced, delicious & prepared to perfection! The cornbread is an absolute must.

Heather Mader

Took a chance and ordered the $14 burger...what a total mind blower it was. A Dry aged steak had clearly lost its life for my burger , lol, and I didn't feel left out for not having the porter house.

Chris Mears

Tuesday are fried chicken sandwich days. Don’t miss out!

Brenden Bullock

Every single thing here is amazing. Get a bunch of small plates and split a steak for dinner !

Neel Hajare

Excellent burger . If you order by phone you can pay and pick up without going indoors

Fergus Nolan

If anyone dislikes this place they must dislike great food. Energetic atmosphere and good vibes. Will be back

You can basically point at the menu with a blindfold on and you'll still walk away elated. MEAT SWEATS.

Delicious wagyu . Try the cocktail with the smoked ice.

Eli Cairo of Olympic Provisions in Portland says, "Their butcher shop offers some of the best cuts of meat in town , killer steak frites , too!

Not cheap , but worth the steak&frits. Try the Dijon creme fresh for ur fries ...

Janet Johnson

The very best burger and fries in Portland. If you can settle on it (the menu is meaty but amazing) you'll be delighted. I crave it often.

It is open for sandwiches at lunch and has a butcher shop attached with excellent locally sourced meat

Lunch was good, but the charcuterie board was the highlight. The sandwiches aren't as good/interesting as lardo .
