Love the zoo . So much to see and do. Great improvements from when I was a young girl. Great way to spend the day. You're sure to see your favorite animal or find a new favorite.
Getting a season pass is the best. Sometimes we make a last minute trip and spend only an hour or two and we don't feel that we have to stay all day as we would if we paid to get in.
Biggest zoo I've ever been too! It was awesome!!! And the dinosaurs special exhibit was amazing!!!! Make sure you have all day to visit!!!!
Great zoo ! So many animals to see. Most don't like that there's a lot of walking but I love it. You can feed the giraffes in the warmer months.
Savanna Watering Hole = Beer/Drinks!Usually of the "Twisted Tea " or Mike's Hard variety. Sits at the fork in the road between path to giraffes and the path to Northern Trek.
The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is full of educational displays, with plenty of indoor exhibits to make it worth a visit, even on rainy days. Be advised, thy do require ID if you pay with a credit card.
December Days offers seasonal activities for the whole family to enjoy including animal programs, seasonal music , eco-friendly crafts, holiday cookie decorating and more. (Dec. 17-30)
Nice exhibits , a lot bigger than Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium . Well worth the drive, money etc. However, the penguin exhibit is not worth it & entirely too small.
Be sure to bring water bottles for those extra hot days. The paths at the zoo can be long and hot. Always love seeing the big cats.
This zoo will keep you entertained and walking for hours! Fantastic animals!
Did you know? In the early years, the zoo had mostly local animals, like American deer. Later, the zoo built sea lion, monkey and bear exhibits and got Freida, its first elephant, in 1940. Read more
The awesome staff and friendly service and delicious food and the service is friendly and informative
You can't really miss it, but be sure to spend some time at the African Elephant Crossing . It was the first and only large-scale, LEED-certified animal enclosure when it opened in May 2011.
This zoo was founded in 1882 which makes it the seventh oldest zoo in the country . All 165 acres are split up into different areas, such as the rainforest, African Savanna & Aquatics House.
The best. Love Elephant Crossing, the landscaping is beautiful. Be prepared to walk a lot or wait for a tram . Don't go on Monday.
Support your local zoo , become a member. Its a great value and a wonderful place to take the kids.
Make sure to wait for the tram before walking up that steep hill to the left, unless you want the workout. There is space for your stroller too.
One of the best zoos . Don't skip out on feeding the giraffes and lorikeets !
Rainforest is amazing. They need more staff patrolling. There was only a sign in the nocturnal exhibit saying "no flash" But no one there to enforce it. People were disturbing the animals for a pic..
If you get here before 11:00 am, head over to the Steffes Vet Clinic by the rhinos. You might catch the vet staff performing a procedure! Very cool!
Wish the Buffalo Zoo could take a lead son from this wonderful place. Loved every minute and spent the whole day!
Northeast Ohio’s most popular year-round attraction , Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, founded in 1882, is one of the oldest and largest zoos in the United States .
Can easily spend a whole day. Take the tram to cats and primates area and then walk down.
The Zoo uses the Argos satellite location and data collection system to track and monitor Trumpeter Swans and Andean Condors. Argos was created through an agreement of NOAA, NASA and CNES. Read more
they need more wild animals. the new elephant exhibit is nice. every time i go we get too tired to walk to the back top of the hill where the gorillas n monkeys r which r my fave. needs improvement
Great Zoo . My Home town Zoo .
The RainForest is a great place to take the little ones in the winter, but the building is very warm, so dress appropriately.
Spend a day walking at the Zoo ! Walking is great exercise and the zoo is a great way to spend the day with family and friends.
Look up and you may see an Eagle too!
Look for the schedule board at the Elephant Crossing to see what time the elephants pass from the Savanna Habitat to the Mopani Habitat.
If you go to the rainforest, try to go on a cool day. Obviously, It is pretty warm inside.
Polar bear days in January! 1/2 price admission to zoo&rainforest if the temp is below 32• take the heated bus throughout the whole zoo :)
Love the zoo wish I could go all the time and year round
The zoo is so nice to visit in the winter also it is like a winter wonder land plan on going back in a few weeks

Dinosaur exhibit : honestly, little bit scary, especially for little kids.
Awesome- make sure to spend the whole day, keep lots of time to explore and wander!
We love the zoo ! The dinosaurs are awesome!!
For some reason the McDonalds doesn't give out straws. Good to know before getting a milkshake .
It's something to do. I like the new elephant exhibit .
It's free to Cleveland residents on Monday!
You can feed a giraffe!!
The rainforest area was the best.
The Wilderness Grill had good cheeseburgers and impressive grilled cheese sandwiches .
Save a few bucks for the train in the Australian outback - the kids love it!
What a terrific place to bring the entire family!
