A-Tan - Chinese/Japanese Hibachi Restaurant

If you want a cheaper alternative to Osaka , A-Tan is great. Not only are they inexpensive , but very tasty. Very conveniently located for University of Memphis students.

Mr Milton took me there several times. Him & several buddy's ate there every sence it opened. He remembers Mrs A Tan . She add a smile he can't forget. Rates it a 20.

Egg Drop soup has kernels of corn in it, which adds a little sweetness - I love it! Voted best soup in Memphis. Try the almond chicken , and don't forget the fried rice :)

Good food, but a bit on the expensive side. The servers are friendly and helpful, though.

Lunch Specials are from 11-3 pm. You can get a great portion of food for under $6. Egg rolls are good, but egg drop soup is a little better :)

Sushi Happy Hour : 11a-1p & 5-7p Mon-Thurs!! Love it! and the regular Chinese food is good too. Lunch is cheap and you get a bang for your buck :-)

If you expect efficient or nice service on the Japanese side, go ahead and start holding your breath now. On the other hand, the food is awesome!
