Hotel New Otani

The hotel was used as the front of 'Osato Chemicals and Engineering Company' in You Only Live Twice (1967), where James Bond avoids assassination and is driven off in Aki's custom Toyota GT2000.

Wonderful hotel but like a small city .....remember to get on of their maps. If you get lost you are unlikely to starve as there are 45 restaurants !

Simply great:-) The garden is beatiful. Koy fish in the water - exotic . The pool seemed a little overpriced so I never tried it. Very polite staff . They even have good shopping here - shops in hotel .

Fantastic place for lunch overlooking the city and one of the best Japanese gardens in Tokyo.

Many people have mentioned there is no wifi in rooms, but as of May 2013 there is free wifi in rooms (and fairly fast as well ),

The rooms in the remodeled side are very nice. Great restaurant Isingo across from the lobby on the other side.

The Akasaka area, right out of the Garden Court entrance of the building has fabulous coffee shops ( Tully's, Zoka ) and many wonderful resturants. The Hotel also has wonderful resturants on premise.

Old but elegant, beautiful garden with many restaurants around

You must have a drink at the bar on the 40th floor , the view is breathtaking

This place wasn't built for fun but it has a beautiful 400 century water garden

Good and very comfy rooms , but avoid the restaurants for breakfast : nice view but awful food

If you book a room type it will not necessarily be available (we booked a non smoking king size but were given a choice either smoking king size bed room or non smoking 2 beds).

Great view from the 40F restaurant 'Top of the Tower' Breakfast 7-10am.

Akasaka-Mitsuke stop on the Marounuche line is just out the garden court exit and right. Line goes to Ginza area and Tokyo station without changing trains .

It's an excellent hotel .

The garden suite rooms are old and terrible. Nothing really exiting is within walking distance. A hotel for business travellers, not for kids!

Rotating resturant. Score big with kids for sunday brunch .

They have renovated the hotel and it looks brand new...

Good Hotel and Near Aoyama Center..Take airport limousine bus from Narita Airport directly to Hotel .

Try the Tempura restaurant , not cheap but unique and wonderful food

Terrible service, no WiFi except in reception corridor and you are expected to walk from one end of hotel to the other to buy the stupid card to get access. Then purchasing the card takes forever.

It's just impressive.

ガーデン ラウンジ のショートケーキ は大きくて、１つが2人分あります、頼めばカット して分けてくれます。個人的には、和栗のモンブラン がオススメ ですが、いつもあるわけではありません。
