The most awesome person/bartender in the whole Tokyo. Listening to his story. And ask him to sing. You will be totally in awe.
Best thing about this bar beside the owner and ambiance: no smoking! So many of the bars in Golden Gai and Tokyo are filled with smoke.
New favorite Golden Gai bar . The owner is super friendly . He mostly speaks Japanese. The walls are plastered in manga and old photographs .
Ronny speaks little English, but he showed us so much history . He opened it in 1966. We got gin & tonics and some snacks . He played us his original songs with his guitar. A must see in golden gai.
One of our favorite spots in Golden Gai. Ask the owner to play you a song and he'll play you 10. Inside of the bar is full of "Ashita no Joe" (aka "Tomorrow's Joe") boxing manga .
