There's a lot of history dating back as far as the late 1800s. Beautiful views , hiking trails , and a host of wonderfully preserved architecture that is currently in the process of being restored.
Check out the awesome view of Mt. Hood from the bench on the east side of the track , or gaze out over the cityscape from the west side benches .
During Lunar events be prepared for loud mouth teen agers talking about inner happiness and the "fat gay guy from the bible Socrates". I am concerned greatly about our future.
Peaceful spot to have a sit.
Take an hour and climb and enjoy the view . You won't regret it
