if ever in Indy, you MUST come here for brunch . the food is incredible (except if you're gluten-free). the staff is super sweet and fun (ask for DiDi). and tell them it's your friend's birthday.

The best soulfood in the city . Hands down there is no comparison! If you're ever in Indy this is a must. The jumbo chicken wings are my personal favorite full of flavor, moist and Dammit delicious.

Always get the sweet tea ! It's the bomb at Maxine's. The chicken at Maxine's is without peer--smothered boneless and bone-in alike. Collard greens like your grandma made and peach butter to die for.

If you don't eat pork , you'll feel right at home. They only serve chicken , beef and fish . No lard is used in their food preparation. Try the sweet potato waffle . It's the best!

Smothered chicken with rice is too good! Southern classics all in one place. Busy restaurant and can be noisy but it is soooo worth it!
