Although overall pricier than the Associated across the street, the cheese spread is varied & surprisingly affordable . Also a good craft beer spread. Grab some items and go for a picnic in Fort Tryon!

Surprising selection of German christmas candy . Stuff my mom used to send me to NYC in care packages. Sorry mom, I don't need them anymore. Also some great German beers ! Weihenstephaner, Schneider.
The German candy selection is because this section of Washington heights is home to many eastern European Jews who fled Germany and Austria in ww2
Came back just because of great customer service at prepared foods . Huge portions too!

Never buy the roasted chicken at Franks, unless you would like to choke on dry meat. An absolute waste of money. I've made Frank and Dmitri aware of the issue, they have done nothing!

It's much smaller than I imagined. Like a small deli. But they have everything. Russian breads, baked goods, cereals and candy. And of course all the meats and fish. A must see. - Sandy Campbell
