Escargot is a must. Soak up the extra sauce with the French bread . If you have to wait, try out the covered oyster and wine bar . Knowledgeable and passionate staff . Wonderful experience!
Their buzzy, magical atmosphere and reasonably-priced wine list means this tucked-away gem is perfect for a long, lingering meal. [Eater 38 Member] Read more
The Steak and Fries is great if you aren't too adventurous. Mussels are also popular. Daily specials are on the chalkboard . Fairly small and cozy with an indoor and covered outdoor area .
Everything was wonderful. Love the escargot , mussels , and French 75. Don’t miss the pork chop but sub the roasted red potatoes for the potatoes au gratin . ????????
We’ve been to Justine’s many times and each time everything has been top notch!! The otters, escargot , steak and frites , and all their drinks! My favorite is the Enfant Terrible (sp?) so good!!????????
I wrote a tip earlier raving about the food, oysters are amazing!! NOT otters!???????????? somehow autocorrect got me on that one and I can’t figure out how to edit it and correct that!! Sorry!????????♀️
Be ready to wait at least an hr, even during the wk. Great wine selection n top shelf cocktails . Their scallops are amazing, the fig cake a la mode is good. Great spot for a date.
The steak tartare was full of flavor (don't get if you're on a date/tryna make out! Lots of garlic = delish!) And the scallops were cooked perfectly! Perfect texture (only three tho! ?)
Amazing vibes. Amazing service. Thought steak and frites were just OK. Our medium rare steak was definitely rare. Fries/aioli were a let down. Underwhelming cocktails . Get the crème brûlée !!
Tent and bar built for New Years Eve still up. I think it should stay.
Great vibe! Chill crowd and great food. Good wine list too!
This no-frills brasserie perched in a remodeled 1930s bungalow serves authentic Gallic comfort food and (more importantly?) people-gawking until the early-morning hours. Read more
This tucked-away East side bistro is well worth the trip for its romantic outdoor space , well-executed classic French cuisine , & reasonably-priced wine list . [Eater 38 Member]
Incredible atmosphere, great cocktails , delicious French food and vinyl records get spun behind the bar . Hands down, the coolest restaurant / bar in Austin.
Bustling bistro by way of the LES meets ATX cool kids backyard hangout. Order a sidecar

One of Austin's top spots. Amazing French foods and the odd live performance :) Found it here: http://supper.mx/places/justines-brasserie-austin/
This spot is a must hit - but for the Parisian bistro vibe, not the food. Indoor and outdoor seating alike both dope
Honestly this is probably my all time favorite restaurant . I love their St. Jardine and the escargot is delicious. Even the burger is fantastic.
Amazing pork chop & steak tartar . The wait is +45min on a weekend but worth it if u get seats at the bar .
Steak frites , charcuterie , any of their house cocktails , pork chops ... These are some of my favorite foods in Austin.
Fear not if you're a vegetarian . Their ratatouille is to die for. The entreé size is more than enough to fill your belly. Onion soup was also amazing.
Try the Poached Pear with Wine Gels & Caramel Cocoa Sherbet - #Scrumptious combination! Perfectly poached pear & sherbet isn't too #sweet, unlike the wine gels.
the pork chops are GREAT!The man who seated us was god-awful. I think his name was Justin. He had the audacity to ask if the restaurant was out of my budget, judgemental prick! good food though
Come early or late Fri and Sat. Beautiful venue and intimate atmosphere . Insanely good service and a foodies Bistro
The classic French dishes are spot on, and the acoustics cause everyone to lean together and speak conspiratorially. But the ultimate treat is the live music !
Had the steak tartare and the crab salad ; both delicious choices and portion sizes are reasonable! Love love love the atmosphere too!
One of the best pork chops I've ever had, escargot bangs, mussels were also very good.
Try the escargot and the pork chops . A change of pace and great place to try with friends or the visiting family.
Definitely a great date spot .
Feels just a bit like Paris, and the Austin go-to for escargot .
Unique, East side hipster 'ish hangout. Amazing food and drinks, lovely atmosphere and ambiance.
Killer atmosphere (the bartenders play vinyl records !) and killer cocktails . Mosey up to the bar for the best service!
Go for the wine , but avoid the cocktails . Shaken Sazaracs and Sidecars with lime juice have no place on a cocktail menu . The $5 house red is a great choice.
A perfect spot for an intimate dinner . Some of the best French food in Austin, hands down.
Fantastic cocktails in a swanky indoor/outdoor ambience.
My fav place to chill out with friends. 10 points to the Royal with Cheese along with the L'enfant terrible. Can't ask for a more perfect combo
Great atmosphere. The food is decent, but they make a good tartare .
Escargot and muscles were amazing with a bottle of the house red . I've never had a soup here that I didn't like. Atmospher
Scallops and Terrible Infant cocktail . Do it!! My fav spot on the eastside!
The duck was fantastic.
You'll need a reservation if your party is 6 or over. Or you can act like my group of friends and just crowd the bar .
Need a cocktail ? Order the I'Enfant Terrible. Don't let the name fool you - it's terrific!
I've had the steak and fries so many times, but it never gets old.
This out of the way joint us awesome. Cheese plate was delicious! And the duck was great.
To the jackass that wrote about 'Jaded New Yorkers'... WRONG! JUSTINE 'S Is INCREDIBLE! Oh, and good luck trying to throw a stone in NYC... (dummy!)
The pork chop was life changing.
Food is good but you go for the ambiance. Sit outside, drink some wine and play petanque
Great ambience, open late , specials on the chalkboard ....
We know, we know, you'll never eat snails, but the sauce on the escargos is so outstanding that you'll forget you're eating a mollusk with only one foot.
Cute ambiance. Love the impressive cheese counter, provisions and wine selection. Summer squash soup was delicious, salted chocolate chip cookie a must. - Erika Perzi
Croissants with strawberry butter. Smoked chicken omelet. Cafe mocha with almond milk - Charles Seafous
Chicken La Madeline is great! Also the Turkey Risotto in the fall. - Katherine Lutter
Wonderful and relaxing! Full volume dancing! So fun! Can't wait to visit again. - Anngeelala
One of the best old fashioned in town. Right up there with east side showroom. The outdoor ambience is an added plus. - Mayank Arora
Great patio and nice music selection. Great prices on beer. - Stephanie Livingston
