Heckscher Park

One of the best parks ever! the walking path is almost 1/2 mile around pond ..great play equip ., 2 sand areas , few pavillions, restrms, athletic fields . beware! Ice crm truck always parked outside! :)

They have public free restrooms by the playground . They leave the padlocks on even when they are open but they are still unlocked (during the day).

This hill begins right behind the Old First Presbyterian Church and leads you right into Heckscher Park. It's relatively small in terms of width, but the length and the decline will satisfy riders.

Really nice actually large park walkable from Main Street of Huntington. They have good size kids playground , sand area , pond , art museum . Watch out geese poop though.

Beautiful location for picnics , family gatherings and the fall festival is the highlight of the year!

A toddler drowned here yesterday, please PLEASE don't let your kids too close to the water...I've seen too many children fall in. Make it a firm rule for your kids, please!!

Very nice park in the fall. Yes as everyone else said watch out for goose poop but other then that it's nice. And the playground is great for kids !!

Watch the pond and you may just spot GinormaTurtle! With spikes on tail like a dinosaur ! This guy must be a few hundred yrs old..

Don't feed the geese , turtles , ducks, etc...Not good for them & security will lash out.
