A Victorian pub dating back over 200 years, the impressive ceilings and windows are a memory of a bygone era. We serve great steaks, ales, wines and much much more.

Lovely pub with great value food. Mon-Fri 12-4pm 2 courses for £6.95!! And the food is quite good. Pub deserves a much higher rating than 6.1.
Fantastic pub / restaurant . Great ales on tap and I had the ribeye was brilliant. They have an interesting set dinner for £11.90 which we were too late for but looked great value . Highly recommended..
Amazing gastropub with a good selection of drinks and a reasonably priced menu.
I simply love the place. Everything I ever ordered was exceptional. I will also probably go there tonight.
Great service! The food was extremely delicious, will go there again.
Great views of Farringdon Road , The Holiday Inn and the old bomb site-cum-car park in front of Mount Pleasant sorting office . Prepare to be dazzled.
Basic, no nonsense food dishes. Good beer ! And across the street from the Holiday Inn .
Grumpy staff and the Wandle beer tasted like it had been dredged from the river from which it takes its name!
Views aren't great but the food is great value .....£15 for a pint and a 2-course dinner .
Nice ribeye !!
Good service . Average food.
Good fat chips mmm
Food wise it's the poor man's Easton, easier to get a table too..
Deliciosa la comida
Hay wifi gratis
Give the steak a try, so delicious. The smaller nibbles on the chalk board are always great with some surprise items. - David Roberts
There are four basic, clean rooms upstairs and an epic breakfast in the morning. Quiet sleep! A nice unfussy alternative to the other accommodation options in Kings X, my favourite part of London. - Aleks Krotoski
Here all the way from Barcelona and they've Estrella Damm on. Never mind, as greatly compensated by superb selection and helpful staff who offer up tasters in wine glasses -- elegantly down-to-earth. - Robin Barden
