Get the slightly sweet, slightly floral Turkish sahlep (hot drink made from orchid root) and head down to Mt. Auburn Cemetary for a stroll. Perfect fall day
Where should I begin! Literally everything here is amazing. Your mouth will have a rave party with every bite of Mediterranean delicacy. Try everything.
What's good here? Everything. This is the best breakfast/brunch spot in Cambridge. In particular, get the meze platter and the Tahini-brown butter donut . When in season, get the pumpkin jam latte .
Everything taste so delicious. Tried the Turkish breakfast , shakshoka and tahini donut "not sure about the name". It is not a good portion to order one thing so you might considered two courses.
Turkish breakfast with spoon sweets, Zaatar pull bread , Shakshuka , any of the desserts , and definitely a latte or cappuccino of your choice :)
The rich coffee is reason enough to come, but you'll want to eat everything after reading the extensive menu and specials. Spinach falafel is great, shawarma also looks amazing.
It's worth completely leaving your comfort zone here, everything is great. If you're less adventurous start with warm buttered humus or shakshuka for breakfast . Moroccan donuts are NOT to be missed.
Amazing food! Go there for brunch and try their pastries for dessert . Don’t forget to end with their espresso . One of the best in Cambridge.
This is one of the most laid-back cafes that I’ve been to in a long time. Food is delicious and the atmosphere is wonderful. Alfresco when seasonal.
Persian omelette & spinach falafel were very good. Loved the chai . Took a little bit to have our order filled, the atmosphere is cool and the staff is very friendly !
Egg sandwich (with bacon !), shakshuka , and tahini-brown butter donut were all amazing. Can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu!
Sofra, owned and operated by the same all-star team that brought Boston area residents Oleana and Sarma, is a Middle Eastern food lover's paradise.
My borek was very good! Warm, crispy , cheesy, and just greasy enough. Warning: you will almost certainly have to wait here, both to order and for a seat, especially on weekends. Worth it though :)
We really enjoyed the sausage pita , and every dessert we had was fabulous: chocolate chunk cookie , pumpkin turnover, and fig baklava .
Pretty much everything you get at Sofra is delicious but it comes at a price. Nothing is cheap there to say the least. Try the shakshuka if you have the opportunity to do so.
Turkish breakfast is amazing. Also try the mezze sampler, you'll get to try so many different things. The food is so tasty and the colors are vibrant!
Borek , sutlac (rice pudding ), mastic gum based custards are great. It’s a shame that there is always a long line to sit
Great new spin on chicken shawarma . Definitely a place to come back too.I highly recommend this place if you like Middle Eastern and Mediterranean foods
Cool place with lots of fresh and authentic goodies! The Persian spice donut was good. The chocolate croissant was unique but dry. 3.5/5
Everything looks great here. But flavor wise it's a hit or a miss. A safe bet is to try one of their baked goodies and a coffee .
Baked goods are excellent and they have several options of batch brewed Counter Culture coffee to choose from.
20-seat place with Turkish, Lebanese , and Greek fare. Try the flatbreads , Turkish breakfast , and umm-ali. The tea and coffee are also excellent, but the service can be slow and weekends are busy. Read more
All the pastries are amazing! Love the pistachio pop tart . And the Turkish Delight tea latte is lovely.
Most amazing egg sandwich I've ever had it's like a cloud of heaven. Beautiful feta butter
Love the desserts , and the Turkish coffee is awesome. You can't go wrong with any entree! Ana Sortun knows her stuff.
Lovely little place that's very busy at lunch time. Be sure to check out the pastries .
Get the hot chai . It's warm, soothing and delicious. They also have soy and almond milk for non dairy drinkers
Pricey compared to other local options but you'll taste the difference. Exquisite coffee and a delicious breakfast sandwich .
Lots of cute takeaways such as jams , teas and desserts . Fido friendly seating outside .
Stuffed eggplant is amazing. A little sriracha for kick, and it’s heaven
Lamb shawarma is great but there are so many things to try. Get the green hot sauce with it
Sofra’s secret is getting out, & weekends are packed, so a Thursday lunch is a good way to get acquainted with this gem on the edge of Cambridge. Linger for some free coffee refills & tasty baklava . Read more
Red lentil durum and the carrot soup were both very satisfying
Everything at this place is delicious, but the seating is almost nonexistent. I would recommend arriving before the crowd or taking your order to go.
All the middle eastern plates and baked goods . Meze platter is great - pick your favorites
amazing exotic baked goods . best spinach felafel ever. grapefruit curd is one of the best things I have ever eaten, anywhere.
pastries are divine, especially pistachio pop tart and earthquake cookies !????????
Lamb shawarma ! Tasty pastries ! It's all good. Good luck finding an available seat.
You can easily get disappointed if you're expecting something to taste like home. The lebanese part is so modified I can barely recognize the taste.. The labne in the turkish breakfast is good but
Everything is wonderful - Turkish Breakfast , shwarmas ...best baked goods - get the earthquake cookies !
Do yourself a favor: get the thick, creamy, rich labneh ; eat it with your favorite preserve, or just plain.
Red lentil durum and the carrot soup were both very satisfying
Red lentil durum and the carrot soup were both very satisfying
Quick warning, the chicken shwarma by default has turnips in it. Otherwise, ridiculously delicious!
Shakshuka , orange blossom lemonade , and Turkish coffee . Perfection.
Try the baklava and orange rose blossom lemonade . We tried the lentil flatbread that was tasty too.
Lamb and chicken shawarma were both delicious!
What a great little Turkish cafe ! So cute too. Will def stop by again next time I'm in the Boston-area
Try the Lamb Shawarma - Like an upscale lamb wrap . Full of flavor and the meat is so tender.
Get any pastry ! And Turkish coffee !
Try the Roast Beef Sanwich - With horseradish and crispy onions. Try the raspberry seltzer, too. - Josh Langston
The vanilla bean loaf is amazing and they now serve Ritual Roasters coffee! - Scott Tamosunas
It's the European artisan bakery experience. The 7grain can sustain you for life. The Ciabatta will make a sandwich perfect. Illy coffee to go! And samples of breads!!! (4 of 4 petals via Fondu) - Dan Pullman
Great espresso drinks, pastries, sandwiches from Russo’s, and they give you a discount if you come in on a bike. - Anthony Roldan
Great & knowledgable staff to aid with anything you need. Love Megan, she offered excellent cheese advice! - Jonathan Summey
