Some great guest ales here - try them all then try to walk ;-) Closest train is James Street, worth the short walk as it can be quieter than most city center pubs - allows you to talk without shouting
I've been back (and not only once)... best pub in town . Fantastic staff (hi Jim!) and nice seasonal ales just makes for a great place to go.
One of the oldest and best pubs in Liverpool. I always try to visit when in town . Great range of own-brewed beers .
Lovely venue with quaint areas for deep conversation or dates. Variety of drinks. Great energy here!
Awesome building. Liverpool brewing legend Stan Shaw retired in March 2014. Thereafter the Wapping beers are brewed by Mad Hatter Brewing Co in the Liverpool Baltic Triangle.
Real ale *not* craft beer . A nice enough selection, just not what I was looking for.
Awesome range of local produced ales , you must try the summer ale !
Great locally brewed beer . Good food.
The Craft ales are great.
Beer ! No scouse on today, kitchen closed.
Friendly staff and good beer
Bowl of scouse with bread & red cabbage £3 available on weekends.
Last night
Stan runs this pub 's own micro brewery which is underneath the pub .
try the famous baltic line of beers ..
Best pub I know in Liverpool. Great variety of stouts and ales. - Christoph Angerer
Cosy beer garden compliments the friendly pub. Live jazz and Thai / Lao food are popular. Great real ales. - Carl Griffin
Very cheap hot food available at lunch time. Hot meal for under a fiver. Served in minutes :-) - Adam Simpson
Pan Am, the best chips in the world, amazing service! - Samantha Latimer
One of the best venues I've visited. Friendly, cheerful staff; cheap parking close by; Albert Dock shops/restaurants over the road and great views across the Mersey. - Glynn
Lovely food - especially the Sunday roasts... Booking advisable!! But you can also have food at the tables by the bar if it's busy. - Ian Jones
