Great battlefield and the volunteers were fantastic. Do the driving tour and check out the visitor center .

Auto tour is small and not terribly interesting. If you come here do the ranger talk to really appreciate this small but incredibly important battle.

MD Civil War Trail : This is the likely site where the famous Lost Order was found, containing Gen. Robert E. Lee's campaign strategy.

Find a park ranger for detailed information. Driving tour has five great stops.
